They are having a short recess, during which the defence are objecting to some videos that the proscecution want to show.

The defence believe the videos could be seen as implying "bad character and lack of remorse".

The proscecution believe they show Casey's demeanour during June/ July 2008 (when she claimed her daughter was missing).

Judge is allowing some of the videos to be played - but they are having some technical issues and can't get the vids to play.

Can i ask ......there was a delay, i believe, between the day Caylee went missing and when she was officially reported missing, is that right? Plus has this delay been explained ? Thanks

They have got the second video to work. It shows Casey in a store buying clothes, on 30th June 2008.

A video showing Casey doing a big grocery shopping on 8th July 2008. She also appeared to buy a large case of beer. I mention this because the defence weren't happy about showing vids of Casey buying booze.

Hi Skylark, Casey failed to report Caylee missing for over a month. She initially told police she was looking for the child by herself. She also said the child had been kidnapped by her nanny. None of this was true.

The prosecution are showing, through witness statements and videos, that she actually spent that month, shopping, socialising and partying.

I'm confused. She told people she worked at Universal but she hadn't for 2 years. is that right?

How the hell was she affording to live/shop and keep a kiddie then?

Yes, she did lie about the job, Veggie.

I asked the same question about how she always seemed to have cash. Someone said she stole cash from her grandfather and her dad and there were some forged cheques, too.

The shopping you`re seeing Casey buying was bought with stolen cheques. She stole her friend Amy`s cheque book. (she was found guilty on this just before she was charged with murder) The jury don`t know this though. 

Veggie, she funded her life by stealing from her parents/grandparent`s bank accounts -thousands of dollars. She also borrowed from here, there and everywhere and never paid it back. 

I noticed during the defence's cross-examination of witnesses today, Bozo repeatedly used the phrase "the world in which Casey was living". I think the defence team will suggest that due to the trauma of Caylee's accidental drowning (and being forced by her father to cover it up), Casey erased Caylee's death from her mind and was then able to function normally and show no signs of grief.

The accidental drowning and George's part in the cover up are the defence theory.

Anyway, back to the trial. The defence are definitely gunning for George, IMO.

The judge told the jury not to stay up late because the court will resume ay 9am tomorrow - American courts must sit on Saturdays.

Oooooooooooooooh I'm quite glad - I get a fair bit of me time on a saturday..................weeeeeell sometimes!

Not sure Yogi maybe its to get the trial over with as soon as possible, the jury have opted to work on one of the holidays....
