Interesting Soozy, the photos and videos of her with Caylee shows she loved her and loved being with her. She has shown some strange behaviour tho, but Cindy didnt even pick it up, so she says. She has shown a kind of detachment thru the trial, then some real emotion. She definately has some mental issues going on there...........

I do believe that she had some love for Caylee but I can't help feeling it was similar to a love that a child can have for say a puppy - love them while their cute and little but as soon as they get a bit bigger the love subsides as it becomes a chore to look after them.  The difference is that Casey, unlike children that grow out of love with their pet and let their parent take responsibility for it, seems to have taken the route of I don't want her, but nobody else is getting her either -especially Cindy

that CBS story was interesting but one sided as Soozy said.  It hasn't changed my mind about her but it has cemented my belief though that Cindy may have been an overbearing grandmother and Casey may have been made to feel as if nothing she did with Caylee was right.   It's possible that Cindy may very well have been interfering too much and that is the catalyst that led Casey to kill her child.

I don't for one second believe that Cindy has done anything intentionally to set Casey off, she is in my eyes, the unintentional catalyst

interesting points there Pengy. Yes i think Cindy is and was overbearing and a bit of a control freak. I think she belittled Casey, to a point where she felt she couldnt do anything right. Some say Casey hated her mother with a passion. I dont know, and i doubt we will ever know , what triggered in Casey,s mind to do such an horrific thing, but i would agree that Cindy was the catalyst . I think Cindy knows that too, she seems to be consumed with guilt, as comes thru with the mountains of stuff i have seen and read.

I think Casey fits the profile to a tee of a sociopath (see above ^^^^^^) sociopaths are born like that (please read). If Cindy was overbearing and took over somewhat  ................................what can you do? You would step in wouldn't you? I really don't think Cindy has to reproach herself for giving birth to a sociopathic daughter..........just my opinion of course.

Yes i read that and answered Soozy .  Cindy said Casey had a normal childhood, Lee says she turned a bit odd around 14ish.  I dont know all the answers Soozy, just go by what i have read and seen . Cindy is probably going thru what i would be........that is saying "where did i go wrong". Cindys letters to casey, in prison are interesting. give them a read sometime, dont have a link, sorry. But try google xx

IMO,... poor Caylee died.........Casey knows, why, how...........whether accidental or premeditated.....yet she sits in court, day after day, looking through files, looking with DISDAIN at witnesses trying to explain/find an answer as to how the poor child/her daughter died....................(And IMO cries real tears when she sees her brother walking in and out of the courtroom free to live his life knowing she is not free to live hers....her first real tears of sorrow)

I know as a Mother, Daughter, Sister.......I would have to stand up and speak...........whether to expose my parents, brother or to cry accident...............

Yes, but at the same time, the defense are aware that she may incriminate herself

I don't think anybody thinks Cindy has to reproach herself over  how Casey turned out  - I know I certainly don't.  I was just saying that she possibly could have inadvertently been the catalyst to set Casey off.

I also believe that Casey has the hallmark of being a sociopath  (I met enough of them when I worked as a forensic occupational therapist before I went into teaching)   and it does appear that Cindy and Casey had a difficult relationship so any interference by Cindy would have been perceived as an 'attack' by Casey.  I also believe that any self-respecting grandparent would and should intervene if they feel their grandchild is in danger or not being looked after properly - so long as the balance between a fear of neglect is measured against a belief that daughter/DIL isn't bringing child up to grandparents standards.

Cindy obviously had reason to be concerned about Caylee and with Casey being a pathological liar it looks like she was right

I don't think the defence would dare let her take the stand - she's incapable of telling the truth and would lie under oath in the mistaken belief that everyone would believe her.

I don't think she believes anyone would convict her

^^^^ We've got our very own GaGa Jury's Grace Foley.

I agree with everyone who thinks Casey is a sociopath and agree about her difficult relationship with Cindy.

I did read somewhere that it had been noted during the recorded jail visits, that Cindy and George seemed almost deferential towards Casey and it was Casey who seemed "in control". It's all very strange.

I think it showed a side of Casey she has tried very hard to keep hidden. I really hope the jury saw it.

So do I. I`m not sure if the jury were there or not. I`ve been checking on the hinky but no-one`s confirmed anything, so far.

Hi Yogi

Some news coming through about defence withdrawing their "complaint" against Jeff re the accusation he (Jeff) phoned Rodriquez boss to have him excluded from giving evidence.

Something like that anyway......
