Going back to my sequstered quarters to ponder it all ....................see you all tomorrow - can't wait 

   for the most part personally I am against the death penalty because I prefer perpetrators to live with what they've done.  I would prefer in the UK that they didn't have such a cushy life and had to work very very hard for any concessions and home comforts in their cells along with true remorse.  I would also prefer that any money made from working goes towards a victim fund or towards the cost of keeping them inside, not to make the prisoner's life easy.  Only if they show true remorse and a willingness to change their life should the regime get less strict.   I'm harsh I know but I also acknowledge that people can change over time and deeply regret what they've done when younger and should be given a second chance (but only for certain crimes).

I believe there are truly people who can't be rehabilitated i.e. paedophiles and I find it impossible not to think that they should face a death penalty which is why I said for the most part I am against the DP!

Howsomeever   if you are going to put someone to death I think lethal injection is preferable - just because the people that are being put to death are monsters, doesn't mean the authorities have to be as well which is why I shudder to think of the electric chair being used as a method of carrying out the DP.  I think old sparky should go to the big electric chair scrapyard in the sky!

Just my humble musings though and feel free to ignore me   most people do anyway
