I done the online calculator thingy, Peter, and according to that, I am entitled..but that is going by a rough guess on what I will earn a year, as my hours are not set in stone, so some months I earn more ETC...I just wondered how it's worked out!

cheers for the link, I might give them a call in a bit, when my brain is more awake

Get the form from them. There's a box on it which you can tick to say you're using estimates for your income, which just means they have to take your word and then you submit real figures next year.

ahhh, thank you Peter...that was what I wanted to know, I guess...only I dont want them paying me, then wanting it back and causing me grief etc...I will go with an average kind of figure for this year

hows tricks with you and business?

At the end of the year, they may still either want some of it back or else pay you extra that they owe you, but with any luck by then you'll be on a more stable footing.

The business is still in the launch phase. I was talking to a friend who launched her practice in February and it took her 5 months to get her first client. It's an uphill struggle, but I'm hoping it'll be worth it in the end.
