It's better than getting toxic shock syndrome. I have never used one but think I might just to see. I hate using towels and tampons. What a stoopid name for it though "Mooncup". I get images of fairies and pixies drinking from it under the moonlight.

Just found another quote from the reviews:quote:Her friend's first mooncup didn't last very long as the dog chewed it up, but she immediately got another one!
Yeuwww... dirty cahhh must have just flung it on the bathroom floor or something!!! I hope she keeps her dutch cap in a more suitable storage area... the dog might not be so lucky next time!
my dog used to take used sanitary towels out of the bin when she was a puppy and run round the garden with them
In medieval times, one of the reasons given as evidence of women being lustfully insatiable, generally evil and sexually dangerous to men was that human menstrual blood was poisonous and the proof was that it had killed dogs.
Marcus still believes that!

Why do I keep reading this thread?
I love this thread
I have used one, although this was before they were available in shops here. It had a different name and I had to import it from the USA!
They're good. I really don't get people who are so squeamish about their own bodies - it's a bit of blood, not toxic waste.

Oh my it looks painful ... The thought of putting something in there bugs me out ... Its good ol' pads for me
Painful? It's made of soft rubber, it won't hurt any more than a tampon does.
If you want to know what's painful to put up there...

If he starts miaowing along with musicals then get help pronto
One of our old cats used to have a thing for my sons feet, he'd peel his lips back and rub his gums along them

I never had the need.
All things considered, I think I'd have liked to...just to know firsthand what it's like.
And, of course, the other reason...
