I am trying to work out how i'm gonna lay laminate flooring over the weekend in my hallway.... So many door ways to cut around! gonna be a nightmare

Oh No Col don't say that! I am quite handy tbh, i really enjoy wall papering and decorating and ive put down 'lino' before too.... it's all the door way cutting that has me nervous

For me it was those thin bits you have to put along the sides. I saw my life sliding away. It took hrs.

I've nothing planned and need to catch up on some serious slouching around the house doing nothing events.  Although, we've just painted a spare bedroom and I've got new bedding, ornaments and other junk to festoon creatively to finish it off.

And I did mention having a chuck out in my wardrobe too...

It may sound fun but I fear it'll descend into a filthy tempered fight between me and a duvet cover.  It'll go off the richter scale if I deal with my wardrobe as well!   I'm only guessing of course, and am in no way indicating that such things have occurred in these situations before...

I am off to place the order for the new bathroom this morning. The beauty of having a husband who is useless at DIY is that we have to buy it all in, so it is going to be wildly expensive, but at least it should (cross fingers) be done properly

I only know two people who would have a crack at a new bathroom and one of them through pride would mess it up.

Having said that, a new bathroom, unless you are really mobile should be a once in a lifetime purchase. Get it right and it will see you out.

Well, we had a new bathroom about 12 years ago and it's looking a bit tired now. However, we will move from here in the next two or three years, as it is just too big for just the two of us.

So, we are treading a fine line between sprucing the bathroom up to something that we can live with for the nextcouple of years and will look good when we sell, and a gorgeous, luxury bathroom. Me, the pragmatist is going for the former, hubby is going for the latter! Hence the argument!

however, we have now ordered it and are both happy with it
