I wish more people would use it.

You find it by clicking on "GO" in the black bar near top of screen, then drop down menu to Chat Room (called The Oasis)

at the top of the forum are a selection of options on a black bar

go - new - find - notify - tools - reply (- new pm)

click on go, scroll down to "chat rooms" and then click the bit that opens saying "the oasis"

it'll open a separate chat window once its loaded you are in.

its running for me on chrome without downloading java but its possible i have some sort of java running.
