ahhhhhhhhhhhhh yes!!!!!!!......the daily weather thread which always ended with........'must go now as the wife wants another baby'!!!

I miss the busyness. Don't miss the midnight closures and don't miss the mods - they banned you for some of the stupidest things ever! (they were on commission I'm certain)

i lasted about 5yrs with out ever getting a ban or suspension lol i'm ever so slightly proud of that in a weird way.

How did you manage that Jen

The mods on C4 changed my name to Smart Butt.   

Moderation on C4 BB forum was rubbish.

Tanya Hyde and Ophelia Dixon-Sachs also got amended.

I hated the way they banned you some something trivial, then when you tried to appeal it, they'd give you a list of stuff you'd done months and months before, some of which you'd already served your ban for. I got loads of perm bans for such pathetic things. Things that wouldn't even raise an eyebrow on most forums.

I miss the C4 forum and a lot of FM's who didn't get on the bus when we moved

I was never bopped I was a goody goody too although I I did have a post 'held' for moderation which never made it to the forum but never really knew why? Bloody great long post it was too...

I remember a thread that was called the Trigger word thread where we tried to find the words we couldn't use and some FM's got bopped

Some of them were completely ridiculous!

It is a bit quiet here sometimes but it's anice "vibe" and I like we can say pretty much what we want and post links etc which we couldn't on ch 4. Also the stupid 12 closing time and bank holiday closing

I had forgotten the 12 o'clock closing, nowt to worry about here, and disappearing threads dont miss them......

that did annoy me.

I remember the old c4 forum with fondness it has been a part of my life since 2003, probably cost me my marraige...It was great after midnight, and mind blowingly funny during bb when all the so called regulars got in a  flap.


Words I loved to see bannished around were, CLIQUE....FACT and daisybee..




Also miss, savana, bozzi, big jock and jodie.


the mods were wanks though..even thoyugh it was probably the whinging joyces that reported any minor misdeamenour who should be getting the blame.

I miss it terribly. Unfortunately it's so quiet on here .........a late night post can go hours with no response.
Yes there were arguments and it got heated from time to time but it was fun .......................if one good thing has come of it .................I'm less addicted now - although there are lots of really nice people here .......it's just so slow.

There used to be links all over the C4 site funneling in new users to the forums. Those are no longer in place and new people probably have no way to really find us.

I don't miss it at all. Yes there were some fun times and interesting threads but what spoilt it for me was the moderation. I've seen moderation on many Forums over the years but I never got the hang of the CH4 one, it was so inconsistent, when they should have jumped in before a thread got out of hand they didn't, and at other times they jumped on the wrong poster or thread. So I prefer this Forum despite the problems that crop up

I got banned a few times The funniest ban I got was when me and profile were running around insulting each other for a laugh and I got banned for threatening a fellow FM


Oh do you remember Rob78? (I think) The most annoying one legged poster on the internet.

The 24 hour C4 forum was the best though, ahh I miss those days

I remember when BB was on and they used to have the sound dip and it would be plane noises, and Nitey could identify every plane

I also remember when Angel was preggers with BB baby, the lyrics threads (which they stopped cos of copyright after they had let them run for 6 years), oh and I got banned (for slander) for calling Kylie Minogue an over rated, bubble squeaking trog.

I used to love it, waking up flicking PC to load while kettle boiled and trying to read all the over night antics before the mods came in at 10am with their broom and swept them all away. (sound like a sado when i put that in text hehe)
