I'm recording it.

Even Dr Who is 'All about the Eyebrows'.....

I missed the first ten mins   I looked at the start time earlier and knew it was 7.50 but later after that it went to 8pm in my head 

Why do all the 'Who's' have a gormless expression when looking at things?

I think it's supposed to make them look quirky 

Department of utter joy! She lasted only a few minutes, decided to catch up on the second Streetie from last night, and now I'm getting G of T series 3 out.

 The chefs are rebelling....

Now that has put me in the notion of a bit of Jon snow myself....must go look for what I've recorded

As per usual, I didn't understand the first opening night of Dr Who  

Lots of foreshadowing mixed in with references to previous episodes.

Lots of great lines too: at the moment, my favourite remains "Oi! Big Man! Shut it!"

Ah thanks. I didn't watch the last series so I guess I was at a disadvantage from the start

As soon as i saw the half faced guy i thought of it

I really enjoyed that... I had to pause and was a bit behind.... I think he is going to be fab! Watching the end i realised i will miss the Matt and Clara relationship and cant work out how this pairing will work but i think he's really good!

I enjoyed it, lots of funny touches and I thought the Dr and Clara's  banter worked well.  I haven't rated the Clara character that highly but I thought she was a lot better in this episode than most. Thought it was one of the strongest start to the series they've had. 

 

I thought it was a bit of a tame start and as usual the 'confused Doctor' is the bit I want to get over with quickly as I don't like it, I sort of want to skip that bit and get to the 'real Doctor'.

 

Some of the dialogue was a bit muddled for me - I could not quite make out what they said on occasion.

 

But no that is over I'm looking forward more to the series proper, with hopefully better stories and monsters.

I don't want to go into spoiler territory here, but I read about next week's episode in the Radio Times and it sounds like a good 'un!

I thought it was all a bit meh! Flitting between an English and Scottish accent was annoying me - just pick one and stick to it David Tennant (my favourite Doctor after Tom Baker) managed it 

 

 

 

I think the flitting was part of regeneration...he was very broken by this one!!!

 

I bloody loved it! Far too much to say, so I will leave it at that for fear of breaking t'interweb!!

As far as I am concerned, tonight is Doctor Who proper. We've got the regeneration confusion out the way and I'm hoping for some good stories and character development.

 

On a slight aside, has anyone seen/ordered this?

 

It would seem to be quite a comprehensive and feature packed offering.

 

 

I'm still missing Matt Smith.

I shan't post any spoilers! I loved it..again!! I am already completely in love with the new Doctor, as I knew I would be! He has the best one-liners and the slightly grumpy demeanour is just glorious.

 

Much easier to follow tonight now that regen is done...enjoyed the story...have my ideas about Missy...just wish, for once in the new series', that we could leave the romance angle alone for a while. Over all though...loving Peter C and still getting over excited for Saturdays!

Another good episode.  I was hoping Zawe Ashton's character would join the Doctor but maybe she will. 

 

Peter Capaldi's Dr and Jenna Coleman's Clara work much better than the increasingly tiresome routine of the Doctor as an unrequited love of his companions.  Jenna Coleman is more witty and spirited so far.  I like the chemistry (or lack of) between Clara and the Doctor.
