Mentally, all the time, verbally, yeah I do a bit...mostly when I'm reminding myself of what I'm meant to be doing "Keys...right...handbag..."

Yes, it's a throwback to when we were children and were learning to self instruct and control our own behaviour......it's the most important thing that really seperates us humans from other similar animals

My mum says that when I was a kid playing with my Sindy dolls I used to freak them out because it was completely silent play. All the 'talk' was going on in my head. I'd be moving the dolls around and look as if there was a story going on but say nothing!
She also said that she stopped being freaked and appreciated the quiet when my sister came along and wouldn't shut the eff up when playing with dolls.

What's worse is sometime's when i sort of drift away during a convo is i must still be staring at the person as when i come too again im still staring at them and they have'nt noticed as their still talking away and im thinking wtf were u saying before having to appologise and ask them to repeat it, I feel horrible when that happens
Have to add my memory's shocking too, I can be sitting watching a programme or a film and get distracted or an advert will come on and i forget what i've been watching and ask the o/h and he'll tell me while looking at me funnily

yeah same here family and friends know me and make fun about it but it's happened a couple of times while in convo with boss's or ppl like that, it's horrible to try and explain to them and then i walk away telling my self off in my head
