Drives me nuts though when people get far in life just because they are beautiful. Some people don't need anything between their ears, as long as they are attractive. You should get far in life on merit, nowt to do with looks.

I'd rather rely on my personality than my looks. Look at the amount of beautiful people who end up with nothing once their looks have gone. You have a lovely personality Darlo, and from the pics I saw of you on FB, you're not a bad looking lad either.

Definitely I like my personality, not my looks as much at all...so I do rely on my personality.

Never really thought about what I rely/relied on to to 'get far in life'....

It annoys me when people label beautiful looking people as 'only relying on their looks'.....

It annoys me when people dismiss people who's looks don't live up to the 'norm' as not worth talking to.

I played up to my 'looks' when I was young to attract the opposite sex....but as for getting 'far in life'....it takes more than looks....

Yes, I think so.

For most of my life, I couldn't rely on my looks to impress people; I didn't have any I could use. So I had to try to be the best person I could; it seemed to work most of the time.

A bit of both to be honest. I'm not gorgeous but charming people usually works when you're bargaining or looking for free tickets to a club. I guess it could be a mix of both.
