I have quite a small skinny one.
It does the job though.

In this instance I approve of faking it.

One of the papers had a guide to real xmas trees. Something about Firs being better and Spruce being the cheapo type.
Nope.

I feel strangely guilty about killing a tree for xmas. Yeah, yeah, I know they are from sustainable forests and that you can get replantable ones and so on.
No Christmas tree or deccs. I normally blue tack cards to the wall mind.
I'm a faker.
aww why not crossy?

I'm calling my tree a Winter Festival tree this year just to annoy the religious.
Real ... it was chopped down yesterday. It is now sitting all naked in its pot in the sitting room, drying out. Tomorrow it will be decorated
nice work rexi!

Don't really want to make a fuss about this. Each to his own etc. Neither Mrs C or I are religious and wouldn't feel right going over the top. If anything ever happens to my Mum and Dad (85 apiece) that would be it for me. We tend to do various things to uphold family traditions.

Aren't you supposed to leave the tree outside for a couple of days with the stump in a bowl of water?
If you buy a real one from a graden centre or somewhere then you should stick it in water for a bit to rehydrate it. Ours was only just chopped, so it's ok.

Ah-ha!
I used to buy real ones with roots, so that you could replant them in the garden.
One of them survived.

Nothing nicer than opening the front door, and sniffing the smell of home made soup and other Christmassy smells is there?
A fake one that still looks as good as it did 8 Christmases ago
I prefer real to fake but my Golden Retriever's very waggy tail tends to batter all the needles from the lower branches of the real trees - so my tree is fake this year.

I've just bought a fibre optic one. Does away with spending a day decorating it

It is fulfilling it's Xmas destiny so don't feel too guilty
I have a fake one coz I'm dead stingy. I want my moneys worth. I bought mine 2 years ago for a tenner and I reckon I'll get another 5 years out of it
Oh it has to be real, I love the excitement of going to buy it and the smell throughout the house is really lovely. I only have green, red and gold/glass decorations too. Can't bear those ultra modern tress and decorations. I'm dead old fashioned.
You'd hate my living room them Fairfax. My theme is white, silver and lilac with hints of black
The rest of the house is like Santas grotto with red, gold and green and bloody fake snow everywhere. The kids did it
