Ditty, did you tell them?
noooo!    My son would have been suffering from psychosomatic illnesses for months if I had told him!    He's already paranoid about sell by dates cos of an incident when he was about 4 with a bag of (soft & not nice) out of date crisps.  (chips to you Lori)

Took a look at the box, and realized that the box had existed longer than our relationship (going on 14 years)

  pancakes from a box!

I do love it when you find stuff that is properly out of date  - I collect tins of tuna and tins of processed peas that are years out of date!

LOL Lori   My mother used to have some really old stuff in her cupboard and would often have food for a few years... and she had a soda syphon from 1976 that she still had in 2003!  In 2003, it hadn't been used since 1980 and she was proper vexed when she couldn't get the parts to fix it .

I don't tend to hoard tinned food and that, because every Christmas, I dish it out to a charity that collects for aid abroad, the homeless, and elderly people.  And they ask for tinned food/pasta and stuff like that, so I get rid of stuff that is close to the sell by date (like only has a month left.)

UBER impressive by the way Garage Joe!
