Get any itchy inner ear, shove your little finger in it, but that doesn't get it, go in search of cotton buds, fiddle with with the bud end of it to ensure full cushion softness and then shove in your ear, but not too far, an vigorously wiggle it about whilst at the same time emitting a small noise  similar to a sound a cat makes - but that's not enough either - it's nearly enough..but not quite...

so you extract the cotton bud - inspect the end of it, with some satisfaction - and then jam your little finger back into the ear and wiggle that finger for all it's worth -  go all quivery, head to one side and know - yes, that enough.

Lovely.

Sometimes an unfurled paperclip is good for delicate exploration, but be careful not to push anything into the ear canal. Its risky and some say you shouldn't do it. But I live on the edge maaaan!
