I think people are daft to act as though we have a destiny and the future is all mapped out, even if it turns out that we have a destiny and the future is, in fact, all mapped out. You spend your time and energy trying to spot or fulfill your destiny when it's not obvious you have one. Which closes some doors that might lead to good places. If you see what I mean.
