In view of the overwhelming amount of sleaze which is now coming to light. I read this morning that many MP's were given the green light to claim for non-existent mortgages. It is my belief that any MP who has done this should be sacked, whichever party he represents. So should we stagger on until next year for an election or should we be allowed to decide sooner, say October of this year?

If we had a GE now then Labour would lose overwhelmingly.
If we had a GE in a years time then the Labour losses would be less so because the electorate has a short memory.

well they are all as bad as each other but now they are all going to have to fight like mad to get our vote and clean up their acts because everybody will be watching them
An election will not stop the sleaze... David Cameron is just using the sleaze thing to call an election when it won't make a jot of difference .
If all the parties are genuine in there promises to clean up the system then we should give them a chance to get rid of the rotten apples and show us that they've put systems in place to stop it happening again.
Then we can decide based on the real issues which affect our everyday lives.

I agree, it's across all parties and it's been going on for years. Lets wait and see what if anything is done about it.
