Actually know that the chances are that their husbands/partners are likely to cheat on them when women are throwing themselves at them at every opportunity? Do you think they turn a blind eye and keep quiet in order to continue with the lifestyle they have and only when the press find out and it is plastered all over the front pages, do they feel so humiliated that they then have to be seen to be doing something to preserve some dignity? The latest revelations about Mark Owen makes me wonder whether any of them are capable of fidelity.

OK I'll give you my twopennorth. IMHYC (and cynical) O, most of these daft young girls know what they are letting 'emselves in for. They get a rich partner, and are showered in clothes, shoes, handbags, vehicles and other tat. I wouldn't think the woman at that mercenary end of the food chain gives a flyer as long as they keep getting presents. There's always a rewarding divorce settlement to look foward to as long as they pay heed to the old adage, "Wait until you have his ring on your finger!"
WTF is Mark Owen?

Hmmmm I don't know really. I think it depends on the relationship they have. Some of them actually go out with the bloke because they genuinely love him - yes they also love the money - but it is genuine. For those girls, the pain of a cheating spouse must be as great as it is for the rest of us.
Admittedly there is a real culture in the last few years of girls unashamedly gold digging and seeing only pound signs, the kind of girls who look on marriage as a business arrangement, nothing more. I would think that in those cases they are more angry at the disruption to their business model.
Mind you fpr those girls, they can always sell their 'broken heart' story to the nearest tabloid

That's what I mean Joe, girls like Theo Walcotts gf Melanie. She doesn't want the fame or lifestyle only him.
When he bought her an expensive sports car for her birthday, she asked him how the hell she was supposed to drive that to college everyday and fit in with her classmates - then told him to take it back!!
Unfortunately it's the wannabes who either have their own undeserved fame or the ones who wannabe famous because they're shagging someone famous who set the agenda

There were stories years ago about Mark Owen cheating on his (then) partner (don't know if its the same one as now) so no surprise really.

Toni Terry was the childhood sweetheart of John Terry and in fact it was her that supported him when he was a trainee at Chelsea and she was the one earning...that's probably why she's stayed...cos she knows nothing else.

Of course it must be devastating, but it must be difficult to believe that your husband is faithful when all these stories of serial cheaters are hitting the headlines. Do they ignore the obvious or they oblivious? In the music industry, on the road and away from home, it must be rife. Same with footballer, a lot of whom seem to spend a lot of times visiting nightclubs where girls have a sole intention to bag a footballer for the night.

I do actually feel quite sorry for her Croc. I think she has been totally betrayed not only by her OH but also by a woman she must have thought was her friend.
I haven't really read much about it but I imagine that if she knew that JT was in contact with her, she would have thought it was because the foursome were mates. She probably wouldn't have been suspicious in the way most woman would be if their OH started being friendly with a random woman

Good on her she clearly has her head screwed on, remember reading her saying that she absolutely loves being a student and having fun with her friends is much more than getting in the papers which can't be said for some girls.

Louise Redknapp has done good for herself she's lovely. Robbie Keane's wife Claudine isn't in the spotlight much but she has a degree in Business and Finance now there's a WAG with a brain.

Aww now thats nice to hear....

A friend of mine was married to a Everton football player, she worked in a travel agents, never ever thought of giving work up, she was your average person with total love for her man, she opened the paper in work one morning to see her husband all over it with some bimbo, it was hard to believe because, our friends were'nt meant to be in the papers....

That's what I mean Stonks, we tend to forget that there are 'normal' girls who are married to famous people because the image is these publicity hungry harpies who look like they think more of their agents than their husbands.
How much worse to go through a break up in the glare of the tabloids for those people who married for love, especially for the kids.

It was shocking, you don't imagine ordinary bods to be in the glare of the media, I felt so sorry for her and she never ever sold her story, she just moved out and carried on working even though it was killing her inside....

My Mother calls them 'Glorified Prostitutes'

...however, not all of them, say Coleen Rooney. SHe was with Wayne from School and must've put up with him footy training most nights and weekends, which is enough to send any woman to the edge....but the likes of Danielle Lloyd etc IMO are there for the 'kudos'

It's interesting to hear your take on her DiD as she is one of the WAGS that I think typifies (sp) the bad side of them. Isn't it funny how we all see things differently?

She is famous for nothing more than being Mrs Rooney and uses that to shamelessly market herself and whatever product she can get out of it.
She may be a really nice girl but personally I have no interest in someone like her who is famous for who they sleep with.
I'm old and crabby btw

Hey Veggie Yes, you are right, she does shamelessy market herself and wouldn't have had any of the opportunities she has had without Wayne.....so in that respect, yeh, she is a typical WAG.

...however, what I meant is she was with Wayne long before he was so rich & famous so she must love him, she had no way of knowing he would 'make it' when she started seeing him, but yes, there's no way she'd have what she has without him, so in that respect, she HAS used his fame....

Who are we to judge though? Some girls maybe aren't intelligent enough to go to Uni or whatever, so if they are in a relationship with a footballer and people want to pay them lots of money to appear in magazines or whatever, what's wrong with that? I'd say anyone who turns that kinda stuff down infact doesn't have their head screwed on.

So true! I haven't had the pleasure of sharing a holiday with my OH as yet!!!! I couldn't bear the shame of him falling to sleep on a sun lounger and snoring sooooo loud....though it may clear the beach for fear of the noise being a tsunami!!!

As somebody on here put it once (maybe Cinds)...as Walrus!!!!
