That always gets me too Bobsy - my pals that say "Ooooh I got a real bargain today - saved myself ÂĢ3.33" by travelling 10 miles to wherever!  Bonkers!

Yes, of course we do. Every other wednesday morning i get out my receipts (sometimes its a 'bit of a struggle' to find them LOL)   Then i do a quick run round with the hoover and the girls come over. We sit and talk over the latest deals, then the fun REALLY starts. We all get out our receipts and see how much we have saved. Joyce won last week, competitive bitch. She wont be doing that again.
anyhooo its a great way to spend an afternoon, or a whole day if you get right into it. Ive seem me kicking them out gone midnight because we got so engrossed comparing charmin to own brand kitchen towels Mental fun we have

No, but ... I must tell you about yesterday in Waitrose ...

Waitrose cheese and tomato pizza  - usually ÂĢ4 each, on special offer 'buy 2 for ÂĢ5'. But they were reduced to ÂĢ1.70 each, so I bought 4 which cost me 6.80. They then took the ÂĢ6 off (on the buy 2 etc ...) so I got 4 large pizzas for 80p

Course, I wouldn't sit round a computer discussing supermarket prices with people - how silly would that be

Do you want me to add you to my asda warriors list Ive got a slot free at 10.30am each friday, have your receipts ready, no dilly dallying
My local Asda is a stones throw from me so that would be a NO!
Last time I was in there I stopped short of ramming a penny whistle up some 4yr old brats nose!
So best i stay clear - yes!
But Thanks for the invite

Depends on what you're buying I suppose (and if you can make your way through the sawdust on the floor )....I wouldn't buy any meat from there cos it's so cheap I couldn't be sure it wasn't cloned in some lab somewhere.

I think peppers, fruit, toilet rolls, some dairy like yoghurts and milk....that sort of stuff is ok. (I don't know anyone who has died as a direct result of eating from Aldi or Lidl)

Have they started giving people proper baskets yet or do you still have to walk around with a box? (That was the thing that put me off when I went in there)

Dear god don't! That really sent him OTT. They don't give baskets at all in our local Lidl - it is trolleys or nothing. Then once you get in you can't get out so you have to go all the way round the shop to get out again
And then you don't get a bag unless you ask for one,

SOMEONE was very traumatised.
I think it is great for drinks and ( as you say) every day grocery items. But no - I wouldn't buy my meat from there.

No wonder there isn't a UK version of Desperate Housewives
Of course!!  After we've compared receipts we usually get out the kitchen rolls and go round spilling wine on the carpet just to see which roll is best at soaking it up.  And I never leave the house without a bag full of stool softners just in case, over lunch, one of my mates tells the whole tablet that she's constipated.
