Nodding when listening to somebody speaking does not always signify agreement.
(Look at all the "nod shots" inserted into news interviews on tv and so on.)

In this situation how many young guys do? There are many young folk living with their parents in council homes and dont even know the price of a pint of milk! So i dont think Freddie is any different in that respect. Plus as the convo was with David, i am sure he would have put him right if it had been offensive
Well said Skylark. I`m a freddie fan but I`m not blinded. If he had meant that in an offensive way I would not for one minute be defending him. He was pointing out the meagre amount that people have to live on. "pocket money" has been jumped upon by those who would rather believe he meant it differently. As you said, David would have put him straight if he thought it was a "snobby" slur.
We could argue this till the end of the world and still disagree ....

ok then I am a liar thanks for telling me what I should have wrote I am living on Income support at the mo a whole ÂĢ22 per week, now if you need any more info I am happy to oblige
"I suspect a lot of people who live with their rich parents (who have paid taxes all their lives), probably see it the same way. Tbh I dont see what all the fuss is about" was the original statement by LN1F....I also agree with LN1F and think this is a fair point to make.
Whether employed or unemployed is irrelevant?
Differences of opinion that's all....that's the way of the world.

It beggars belief cologne.

I don`t think it was meant in a patronising way either.
I`ve heard other people who have had to go on the dole say more or less the same thing.

Speaking as someone who has been "on the dole" many many times in my life, I wasnt in the LEAST offended by what fred said, the job seekers allowance for a single adult male was about 60 quid a week the last time I was claiming it, about 18 months ago,
60 a week to LIVE on, thats for food, hygiene, utilities, transport, DAMN its hard,
When you consider the likes of Fred would spend more than that on ONE meal, then yeah, I would call it pocket money,
and its a fact that are one of the lowest paid unemployed in western Europe,

How bizarre!! Here we are talking about ppl on the dole, and my daughters just found out shes got her first job!!! Not that she was on the dole, luckily, not in that position; Shes only 16, and is going back to 6th form, but she has been trying to get a Saturday job, evening job etc for ages and tried everywhere. Nobody was recruiting and she was getting really fed up, and then just now she got an email telling her she has been successful!!! Wo! Maybe now she can start saving to pay for her own JLS tour tickets!!!
Im liking google chrome, doesnt crash like the useless firefox
I'm loving Google Chrome too! Having just had a serious malware infection that got through IE I changed to chrome! (I do use firefox for some things though)
This is the only bit of this thread I'm prepared to get involved in! You lot are getting scary!

Hi Squiggs did you get my message re salt water rinses for your poorly mouth? I feel for you I have been there!
The thing is with Freddie he is open and honest if he is asked a question he will answer as honestly as he can!Whether the answer isthe one required is a different thing!
I like Freddie for many reasons and I will continue to stick by him!
Yes thanks for that figtree, I did reply straight away but its easy to miss a post on a day like today isn't it? I said I feel a bit muddleheaded with the infection and will probably end up drinking 4 large glasses of salt water and gargling with a large glass of something I fancy

I agree with everything you`ve said OHG apart from what I`ve bolded. I had a boyfriend (yonks ago) who had rich parents and they didn`t give him a penny. He lived in the Uni halls, wore raggedy jumpers and sandshoes. Chips and curry sauce was a treat for us. They made him make his own way and I admired them for it.
Its pathetic... Some of these fans cant defend him anymore now they choose to get personal... Argument lost already... Nobody here knows anyone so I hate it when some people seat on their horses and mete out sweeping judgements from comments on a bliddy forum....
