Yea,I'm in the STV central region and had to re tune the small TV in the bedroom today. The big telly has SKY so that's not affected.

This is usefull if you've no instruction manual for Didgi boxes.
I'm central region STV too. Like you katty the big TV's on Sky. but the wee TV's had to be retuned.
Baz, I'm sure it would have been much cheaper just to retune, rather than buy Sky to resolve the problem.

Yes.... but don't tell Mr B that.... I convinced him that we really NEEDED Sky

Hmmm....the one with the freeview box will need to be re-tuned.Not sure about the built-in one. I suspect that'll have to be re-tuned too. It's just the same procedure as when it was set up originally.
Thanks fluffy, what a carry on ! xx
Had digi tv since it began Had cable since God was a boy.

I have a digi tv too, In Scotland the change over begins. My sister has a digi/Hd ready tv and she has lost BBC2 , all the BBC channels will disappear soon. I pity all the older folk, that dont understand whats going on
I've got virgin cable tv. Don't watch the terrestial channels via the ariel anyway.
So I need to do something else about this digital malarky ?

I can't find my info booklet on it, but I'm sure it said that if you are on cable you won't be affected.
I was quite an early adopter, so had digital TV shortly after ITV digital went bust and before Freeview was founded.
Switchover is in November in this area and I'm hoping for a significant improvement in signal - although from what I've read, that might not be the case.
Between May and October, Freeview reception is hopeless making many channels, apart from BBC4, Dave and one or two others, unwatchable more often than not. Often, I have to revert to analogue TV, which also has a terrible picture but at least the sound is stable and there are no points where the service completely drops. There have been rare occasions where all the stations on digital TV have become no/bad signal stations.
So I'm crossing my fingers that after the switchover astronger signal will cut out the interference. The only problem is that by November, my Freeview reception's fine, so the real test won't be until the next spring.
If not, I think it will have to be FreeSat
Just add that there's no way in a million years I'd pay for Murdoch-o-vision.
Hardware-wise, I'll splash out on a HD TV with HD Freeview. My Panasonic Freeview DVD Recorder has been a really rubbish bit of kit and has been near useless from the outset as it tends to reject just about every disk I try to record on. Oddly, Panasonic DVD recorders have a good reputation. For me, it serves as a rather expensive DVD Player/Freeview box.
I'll be glad to dump that bit of crap and won't be bothering with DVD Recorders in the future.
Hmmm......quite a wide range of views/experiences. For me the first switch only happened today....and it's ok so far....but it's what it'll be like come the second switch on the 22nd that'll be the real teller....fingers crossed!
Thanks Fluffy, you've just reminded me that daughter's TV in her bedroom need's re setting again, she did tell me this morning but i'd forgot
I'm with Virgin (cable) so I don't think I need to reset anything.
Re-tune again for Central Scotland today. That's the whole of Scotland now on digital.Analogue switched off.
We're all re-tuned now too. Mr Fluffy Thing even went and did his mums for her. Poor dear's all 'plum tuckered out' now after doing three set's in the one day.
