That's fabulous Ells And good luck for tomorrow Barney. Think we sound like we're on a roll atm. How are you doing Cinds?

I've been to a family funeral today and had my pic taken with my 20 yr old great niece as she has lost 3 stone since last summer. That's 6 stone and 3lbs between us, significantly more than her little brother weighs

Unfortunately it is only on sad occasions when we meet up with family and see all the results of our hard work , you don't notice when you see people regularly

Have you tried the new rhubarb and custard ones? I think that they are possibly the most revolting things I've ever had the misfortune to eat Loads of people in my class love 'em 'though

well done Jen that's brilliant

i am doing really badly at the moment, still eating birthday chocs

thinking of calling it a day going to class (due for a weigh in tomorrow), i have been yo-yo'ing since November and not sticking to plan, so gonna start afresh on Sunday and just put the ÂĢ5 a week in my elephant-piggy bank, what an unfortunately choice for a dieter

i will stick to it at home if i get someone else to weigh me each Saturday morning

but well done to you

barney

well done Cinds that's a great loss, keep it up you are nearly at a stone

well done to you too Jen, 1lb is so good, the hardest part is going back and you've done it

in my old class they used to have a 2lb "lump of fat" and it was huge, my latest class has a 1/2lb lump and when you felt disappointed you only had to have a squeeze

thanks Jen, i am just having a week or two off, and will get back to DIY SW

Barney, how about 5:2?  It suits me much better than a full on diet and I'm having good results (11lbs so far) and find it a lot easier to do.  You stick to 500cals on 2 days of the week then just eat normal the other 5.  On my 'fasting' days I am full of ideas of what I am going to scoff the next day but I never, ever end up eating all the things I think I am going to.  You don't be as hungry as you think you will be on the day after the fast and once you've been doing it a few weeks you do start to think about all the cals you're eating on a normal day.

Michael Mosley did a good documentary about it on BBC (I think it's still on the iplayer) and the health benefits from it if you want to have a look and see how beneficial it can be.

So how are we all doing? I've been a bit up and down the last few weeks, but lost 1.5 this week so 3 stone 3.5lbs altogether  Gutted that my lovely consultant left last night   We had a 'taster session party' I made: syn free scotch eggs; SW recipe chocolate torte, (with cointreau rather than brandy, clementines and cointreau 'cream') 4 syns a slice; and some chocolate marshmallows, (1 syn each)

Thanks for the info Ells, may have a good look at the 5:2 if my SW at home doesn't work.  On the whole SW suits me as I have quite a big appetite and I can fill up on pasta or spuds

5lb off on my first week back on plan, DIY

I'm almost back to 2st 7lb.... Where i was at new year.... I was 0.5lb away last night  So this week should show some actual progress rather than 'catch up' losses

Yes and...not particularly! But I was really spoilt with Abbie

Hopefully we'll get back on a roll now that spring is in the air Jen
