or Dinner....whatever you may call it.

I'm at Slimming World so I'm doing some of the chips with rice and chicken curry.  Lots of Onion Mushroom and chillis for the 1/3 of the plate thing although there won't even be nearly enough to count as a 1/3 lol.

I'm getting bored with the same old food though so if anyone else is at SW and knows some handy recipes for someone who can't cook I'd be more than happy

Eve I make homemade soup quite a bit but after one or two bowls the big pot of it goes to waste.  I just don't like it more than those few times.  I do make nice soup though even though I'm a shit cook

You have to make everyone in the house eat it

Talking about it to much lately has put me off it

Rexi good on ya   That's why I need to diet tho....too fond of pub lunches and takeaways for tea but tryin to llimit those now and choose wisely.

Issy Chilli is one thing I really like but never make....must see if I can find a SW version of it.

Eve.....there isn't a hope in hell of getting anyone in my house to eat homemade soup lol.  Two of them are veggie dodgers and one likes veg but not in soup.

Yep I've froze the portions before and found them months later at the bottom of the freezer   I just never use them up.  I think I mostly just like the smell of veg soup cooking on a cold day rather than the actual soup.

Oh when I said I was 'making' curry I meant the type that comes from a tub   I can't actually make one from scratch and the Dragon brand curry isn't too high in syns.  Having 2 clementines now to make up the 1/3.

Exercising is the one thing I need to up now, bought a treadmill last January and although I used it regularly enough then I haven't been on much recently so I will need to get a move on.

You could do what I do - freeze portions of the soup in containers. Then they're really handy if you're in a hurry one day, just reheat in the microwave

Yep Soozie this week was my first weigh in since I started back and I had 4.5lbs off even though I had been drinking at the weekend and thought I'd ruined it all but thankfully I got straight back on track.  You might like the minimins forum for wee tips on SW stuff and in particular for recipes for the awful scan bran which I will be going on next week. God help me.

Thanks Jen

And you never know, we might even woo Soozy back here. See what I did there

Ells, the curry recipes in the SW Fakeaway book are great, (most also available on line) and there are even recipes for onion bhajis and pakora

Pirate, a lot of the SW recipes are available on line without being a member: here's a link to a search on curry

Oh and tandoori chicken is easy peasy: just marinade the chicken in tandoori spice, fat free yoghurt and lime juice then grill.

I do a lot of marinaded chicken thingies to take to work with salad/jacket spud for my lunch: chilli, lime and ginger: lemon and herb: piri-piri; pesto; ras el hanout etc. etc.

Loks like it's just you and I on SW then Jen! Not looking forward to weigh in tomorrow, think the excesses of my birthday may have caught up with me, so will be v lucky if I haven't gained. Have been trying to be super good the last few days: just had fettuccine with loads of ratatouille and a few spicy meatballs followed by a Hartley's 10cal blueberry and blackcurrant jelly. Might have some muller light yoghurt later, have you tried the new pina colada and the after dinner mint flavoured ones? Nice
