I'm not liking this
I always had him down as a Blues Brothers extra reject. But yeah all this 'young hopefuls' rubbish is nonsense. Katie already had a record deal but got nowhere because she's something that rhymes with 'hit'. Same story for Her Out Of Tescoes nobody bought her record because she can only sing one song and has the charisma of an Arsenal-supporting newt.

So much for "Talent" being discovered, they all seem to have been in the industry from what I have read.

I'm going to put Wagner forward as 'not guilty'

I don't see the controversy about this tbh .. thousands of people work as extras on movies ... hell, I even know a friend who can be said to make a living out of working as an extra on movies/tv shows etc. ... I don't see how his work as an extra on a movie set can be seen as giving him an unfair advantage in the singing stakes, compared with Ms. Weasel for example ...

That's fair enough really but I think what annoys people is desperate fame wannabes and he is definitely one of them. He can hardly sing a single note without posing in fifty different directions while singing a single line of a song approximately five million miles from the original tune in a desperate attempt to appear 'soulful'.People who have talent don't have to go to such extraordinary lengths.
Well! He's certainly not my favourite X factor candidate but I don't feel quite so strongly about him as that!
I just thought the connection between working as a film extra and desire to be a wannabe wasn't strictly true in most cases ... well, in any cases I know of anyway
I don't think my friend has ever auditioned for X Factor ... in fact, I'm sure of it, as she hasn't a note in her head

Sorry Shar I find all of them equally annoying this year for different reasons
The X Factor is for anyone wanting to make it as a singer.
The only criteria is that they shouldn't have a current contract.
I couldn't care less if they have failed before, but judge them on how they are now.
(Hopes not to see Jedward reappear)

I know what you mean but that kind of dances on their 'we'll find a new star' ideal. They're all crap this year so thankfully there's no need at all for discussion Reference: Prom

I disagree.I've seen a few 'established artists' recently, who would be put to shame by Matt and Rebecca (to name two).

Rebecca is so boring for me I can't even begin to describe it but I can see how other people might like it (I hated Sade). Matt is just so twee I can't take him seriously as either a male or a singer File me under 'lost cause' this year
