No you didn't..... and yes he is! And 10 minutes down the line he does it again
Yup - thats what he said... i wish people would vote him out now, i've really had enough
That was not intended as gloating at all.
It certainly was not said in the way the other gang have chosen to interpret it.
The remark was because Marcus had wanted to go home and Freddie was simply confirming the possibility.
No it wasn`t to do with being cocksure at all!
Freddie fans will see it as light-hearted and harmless, while those who already dislike Freddie will say it was cocky, gloating and evil intent (which of course it wasn`t.)
Anyone who takes that remark at face value is misguided indeed.

Yayyy! We agree on something! If Freddie goes on Friday, I promise I'll try to like cats!
Yes..
You also heard him say he was going to scheme and you also heard him say that he is perfectly capable of walking away and keeping away from potentially contentious situations.
Oh and on my tellybox just now he has said Marcus is likely to go and he is feeling 'confident'.

It was a humorous remark - light-hearted.
That`s all.
And said in the context that Marcus had wanted to leave.

God, some folk make me laugh. I totally agree brisket.
Aren't you lot running out of things to slate Freddy for? You surely must be, or failing that I know why not make it up

So what about later when he said that if he was up against david or some of the others he would probably stay.

He said exactly the opposite in the Diary Room.

I may agree with you... had he not used the whole the public love me I'm not going anywhere argument before. There is nothing wrong with a little confidence and nothing wrong with stating the obvious (which is kinda what he did with Lisa).. but.. when you have just been put up against someone you consider a friend there is nothing wrong with a little humility.
It wasn't a one off either. He said it a few times and he unfortunately does believe the 'press release wot he wrote himself'. Whatever you may think of Freddie.. love him, loathe him or be a floating voter.. that was not the wisest move.

I think in all fairness Freddie meant it as , yes Marcus is going home as he wants to and asked to be nominated

LOL.... I think that could be said of both sides of the debate

Not wise comments to make imo....He gained some ground with last nights HL show...He may have lost a little after making comments which to be fair can be construed as him being smug.

Exactly Strike! well said!
(you're the second Blue I've agreed with in the last 5 minutes! )

Ok.. say it was.. how do you explain his conversation with Siavash and Marcus in the garden.. the one where he talked about scheming, keeping out of trouble and how if he were up against other HMs he would win.

Exactly Tupps.... seems that convo is going to ignored
I suppose if it had been Lisa or Bea that had said the same, I doubt some Freddie fans would interpret it the same way.

I think what matters is how Marcus took it, and he clearly wasn't bothered by it.
We have to remember that Marcus has repeatedly stated to all and sundry that he wants to go.
Whether he genuinely wants to or not, it's understandable for other HMs to believe they are making him happy by agreeing with him that he's leaving on Friday.

I am not a fan! No that wasnt nice what he said in the garden, but i have always felt he wasnt as nice as he seemed, but i still think he was well meaning in his remark to Marcusquote:Originally posted by tupps:quote:Originally posted by Skylark24:
