Someone on DS put up a few vids of Dave and his church.

Very odd stuff (and I suspect a lot of Christians would find it offensive)  snorting the Cross like lines of gak. Snorting Bible passages...

Dave and a female friend talking to the camera and she's sitting there laughing hysterically at nothing.  But it didn't seem to me like overwhelmed with love or the presence of the Holy Spirit...it was just mechanical HA HA HA HA.

A lot of it, I believe is mass hysteria.

I find this stuff really interesting...if it works for people, and they find their faith that way, then go for it

I don't, I find it offensive (not the whole drunk/high on Gods love, that I'm ok with) but faith healing really PROPER offends me.

My ex's cousin went and spent alot of time with a faith healer when he was suffering with a malignant brain tumour...he subsuquently died from it a couple of years ago...







The calm that he and his family got from just trying another avenue, and the bit of hope it gave them, was worth it I think.  It really is a personal choice thing I suppose, and I have to say that when I was at my worst with something a good few years ago, my last resort was to go to church...tbh it freaked me out a bit, but knowing the option was there helped..







I'm a whole different person now and my attitude to religion has completely changed, but I think that's what's happening here...religion is changing with society, people are finding other ways they are comfortable with of worshipping their God.







Do I find faith healing offensive?  Not really...I wouldnt want it rammed down my throat as a certainty either though...(I've been lucky though, no one has yet told me they can cure all my problems with prayer or laying on of hands....if they did they might find themselves on the end of me boot )

That claim  puts the likes of former BB boasters Mario and Marcus, totally in the shade !

I have to stress, I don't mean people praying for someone who's sick, again although I don't believe I think that is harmless.

But to pretend to remove tumours (coz it is pretend)...I find it cruel.

oOOoh maybe he's one of them bods who gets taken overby someone and does all the operations without instruments and that?

I hate all this faith healing talk.I appreciate that whatever gets you through illness and times of trouble are very personal and if it works for you, so be it. But to suggest, no CLAIM that you shrunk a tumour is just plain wrong in my book I can see why Dave loves America, can you just see him preaching in some of the Southern states...he'd be in his element.

I used a spiritual healer for our dog after he had cancer. She wasn't religious though, more about inner strength and all that.
I would recommend it to anyone but would advise people to also consult regular medical services as well
