I missed it. Anyone see it? Any thoughts on our leader?

I saw it last night and thought he came accross very well
Smoke and Mirrors. I think his advisors are trying to address those characteristics which annoy the GBP. We are now also entering a period where Murdoch, the bankers, and the other people who run the country, are trying to work out which party leader is best placed to continue the Thatcherite, laissez faire, market economy (31) If they come down on the side of Brown then we must expect all sorts of backtracking. Gordon routs the Taliban. Gordon brings peace to Northern Island. Gordon saves the economy. Gordon swims the channel underwater for a bet.
You know? That sort of thing.

Is that the thing with Peirs Morgan? I can't watch it cos it has that twonk in it
Cheers (especially to GJ) Might see if it's on any of the ITV other channels or catch it on ITV player.

Murdoch has shown his hand in the up & coming election, but wouldn't it be just great if Brown is able to walk back into number 10 the morning after the election, raising 2 finger to Murdoch rags. "twofingersmiley"
Yes I saw it and I thought he came across very well. It was quite moving when they talked about little Jennifer and you could see he was visibly upset after the VT and Sarah was holding back the tears too...

Indeed! As long as later on he promises a bit more of a left wing agenda.Reference:

hiya Joe, i've a cryptic message for you from one time forum member Temps. She want's to know if you saw Jo from Spooks on Something for the Weekend yesterday? She's in a new show, kinda the new version of Cold Feet.
Yes Jo is about to take part in a new show which is being heavily trailed.
Give Temps my best. Hope she is OK.

I also thought it was a good interview, he didn't back down from any of the questions, it was a mixture of humour, sad and happy times in his life and his dedication to politics.
It was interesting to learn more about him as the man from his early life onwards, it was more interesting than I thought it would be.

As I understand it Mrs B - being a PR bod and a good mate of Piers - was behind the interview.
I don't think he does himself any favours in this day and age by being so naturally reticent about his private life. Although I understand why - he's a politician, not some celebrity anxious to have every nit and belmish spread across the pages of Hello. And compare him with Tone - charm personified which deflected totally from the fact that he is an utter tit. Gordon may be a tit as well but at least he's up front about it.

Ditto..... And quite frankly I don't think anything GB said at this stage of the game could alter the negative opinion I have built up of him over the years.Add Reply
