A man who who has lost limbs fighting for his country gathering the troops for what may have seemed a trivial penalty shoot out on a TV reality show really got to me. He was a legend throughout the whole task in fact. He hasn't been a legendary HM by any means but that made me cry.

I don't think so. What time was he doing it?
Having heard the way some of them struggle to read a task sheet he was definitely the best choice, it was quite moving.

I am going to take a major backtrack here. I posted a thread last night asking what was the point of Steve being in the house?
Well he reminded me tonight what he and countless others have done for our country - whether you believe in war or not. HE not the politians made a huge sacrifice.
When I heard him read that, so simply I thought "F**k it - you may not be entertaining, or witty or funny BUT you deserve to be there to the end" and if he won I would not begrudge him a penny.
Besides the vacuous screaming idiots he is a still small voice of calm.
So yes Prometheus, I felt humbled and I did well up.

That's wild uncontrolled primitive laughter. Anyone would think you'd just seen Wales trying to qualify for the world cup.
Christ, Prom Queen, there's bitterness oozing out your pores tonight.

Wales, world cup, ne'er the twain shall meet. Never mind go back to shooting phlegm at innocent passers by asking for directions.

Who is then? Oh it's me in your imaginary world where Wales have a football team. Okay, got it. Ta.

just a little tip for you ...not that many people in Wales give a shit about football, i believe the term in common usage is silky shorted w***ers. It's a game people play when their arms are not strong enough for netball, just as cricket is a game played by elderly women who want to strenthen their knitting arm .
How disappointing.

I fully understand though why Welsh people hate football. I hate things I'm shit at too
but, but I thought you really liked football or is getting twatted by bunch of Germans every 4 years considered to be the pinnacle of success for you?
you're confusing me now

Proper punditry! And cross-sport punditry at that! Reference:

Beautifully put. I couldn't have said it better
No-one would dispute that Steve (and many others like him) give so much and make many sacrifices - even the ultimate one.
However, one little oration does not a BB winner make.
I thought we were supposed to judge on their performance and bahaviour in the house, not outside it.
He remains, to me, very dull.

Hi Brisket . Don't get me wrong, I dn't think that he deserves to win because of what he has done for his country. I just meant that were he to win, I would not have a problem with it because of the person he is.... I would far rather he won it than Shabby for example.
No but I did wonder why there was a cameraman in the garden with them, I thought they had no contact with the camera crew

Hi Brisket . Don't get me wrong,
I understand Isadora. Thanks.
Being exservice,yes I shed a tear.
Anyone else notice what a sexist git he was just choosing the boys for the game and ignoring the women who had put up their hands wanting to play
no questions about previous playing experience, just chose the blokes automatically....what a prince

But I thought Ify scored the winning goal...
Anyway this is more about what a brave man he is - despite being sexist..

yeah, i mean at the beginning when he took over the task and asked who wanted to play...i assume it was before he got the full instructions that everyone was playing.and whether you consider him brave or not doesn't exempt him from criticism you know
