I've missed most, if not all of the themes.

I'm not bothered what colour it is TBH........If people are put off from posting because of a colour affecting their eyes then that has to be addressed.

This is still dazzling, but I like the blue after the really insipid themes we've had.

I dont mind any of the light colours I dont like the busy background I prefer plain..

Oooh, now I'm on my laptop, I can see the borders down the sides, which didn't show up on my netbook.  I think the borders make  it much more interesting, and detract slightly from the brightness of the white parts of the screen.

This is good too, don't mind either way about the bits down the side tbh

I don;t see any blue...this is all white to me and too bright.

I lied i see the blue on the front page but not once in get into a thread....and the background that i see on my phone isn't visble on my pc

Croc, what size monitor do you have?
I think the smaller the monitor, the less 'down the sides stuff you see and the larger the monitor the more you will see.

A similar effect will occur if you have side panels open, like 'favourites' or 'history'.

I don't like the background...I can live without that

Don't mind the lightness..................I just don't want the images to go with it

Images behind the text is another big no-no in Web design, I can't understand why they even contemplated going there. Unless, as I've suggested before, we are the guinea-pigs for some trainee web designers.

I don't think most people seem to see the images behind the text.  On all 4 computers I've been using since the themes changed, I can either only see the pictures down the sides of the text, or not at all.  I much prefer having the pictures at the sides because it seems to reduce the dazzling-ness of the white sections, and I think it looks nicer anyway.

Oooh, I take that back - I've just logged on with Google Chrome and now I can see the pattern behind the text.  I think it looks much better because it reduces the white spaces dramatically.

I don't see the pics behind the text....the only time is see them is on my phone when the page is loading.

I'm using FireFox and the 'behind the text' stuff is very clear. I'll just pop over to IE and see if I see it any differently. Back in a mo....

I'm on IE now and I'm not seeing any image behind the text, but I'm still seeing it when I switch back to FF. So it would seem that whoever is doing these themes has not bothered to make sure that they are coding them in a way that will be interpreted the same by all browsers.....another big boo-boo in web design!

How the hell can we have a proper vote on this if people are seeing them differently depending on which browser they are using and the size of their monitor.

I'm posting from Chrome now and I'm seeing the pic behind the text again.

Just been updated to FF 3.6.13, still seeing the image behind the text. Possibly a tad less strong, but not much.

Decided it's not any less strong!

Are we stuck with this one then? I don't find it too offensive but it's not my favourite. It's been on a long time. Have you simply lost interest in Seattle? Have we had all the options? When's the poll?

Ted posted on Thursday to say that the poll would take place sometime this week.  It's only Tuesday!

I'm getting to quite like this theme, and find it much better on Chrome when the white is broken up by the background showing through.

And Ted indicated that this theme would stay until the poll, so I'm not expecting it to change again.

I really like this one - hope we keep it.

I dont mind this one getting used to it now , i dont see the trees or whatever it is, I have an empty gap at the right hand side, i presume thats where they are .....

It's not my fave - I liked the blue one , two or three options ago.

This one is pleasant to the eye, and readable. A full width page would be better if possible-- all that wasted space.

I will vote for any light colour with a plain background the earth theme which is my favourite easy on the eye, or if the other blue theme with a plain background is chosen I will be fine with that

Things that affect how we see the forum:-

1. PC, Mac or Laptop

2. The operating system

3. The Browser and version thereof.

4. The monitor size,

Thus, there are a myriad of possible minor differences that could be influencing the way we see things.
