Found something we can agree on!

In the SH, Dex was looking to see if Callum would bad mouth him, because Callum had nommed him in F to F noms when Dexter had thought they were friends - and Callum nommed Dex because he wrongly thought that Dexter was calling him fake when Dex tried to warn him that being overly nice was coming across (to other HMs) as fake. In fact, that particular misunderstanding was the start of the rot.

Yep agree with all of that .. hence Dexter deciding to go for Charlie altho he had no interest in her up to that point at all. .

I was always of the opinion that despite her initial introduction to us as the vacuous spoilt bratish rich kid( do any of us actually still believe that?)Gina has had a happy knack of astute assessments of people,I see no reason to think her intuition has suddenly gone AWOL.

The point of the Charlie/Dexter/Calllum love triangle as the starting point of the animosity between Dexter and Callum is a non starter for me, because I senese it was a put  up job engineered by BB.

Perhaps the fact that Callum nominated Dexter and because of that he was put in the SH that week was the reason he was 'looking' for it? Up until that point Dexter thought Callum  was a friend, when Dexter left the SH he tried to tell Callum what the others were saying about him and to warn him about being too nice, instead of taking it on board he turned even more on Dexter.

Sorry, I just can't see anything to like in Callum. For a coach of young children I find him extremely vindictive and malicious.

Each to his own though, I can't wait for this BB to be over. It's leaving a nasty taste in my mouth.

Both are trying to fight for the position of top dog and both are getting nasty with their comments and viewers should acknowledge both sides of it

He didn't agree he'd said it, Aimee. He said it sounded like something he would have said. He said he couldn't deny it because it was the kind of language he may have used. Because Callum was being so specific about what was said Dexter took his word for it, that's not the same as being guilty, he's actually showing more honesty here than Callum, who made it up!

aww Bethni. . I've not liked any BB HM's since, well for a very very long time. . ever since they started putting people in who want a job in media or to 'get rich quick'... . I have absolutely no respect for that sort of person who wants it all and wants it now rather than working their way up to a chosen profession. .  they'll sell their soul and go on reality TV to try to get ahead quicker..

They have all had pretty bad personality flaws . . you'd have to be weird and pretty up yourself to want to go on TV and make a pratt of yourself just so you can be 'famous'

I like watching the idiots tho. . tis my guilty viewing pleasure. .and I like a chat about them as well. .but I tend to go off on long waffles if I get into the psyche side too much..

Bethni .............you really don't know he's made it up. The fact that Dexter said it sounds like it's something he'd say makes it quite likely doesn't it? He has said some very dubious stuff .....some of it is pretty graphic and not nice.

Unless you have access to 24 hour live feed (and in every area of the house) I don't see how you can say that Callum is lying.

So your saying that Dexter COULD have said it? Yet we KNOW that it wasn't said in the conversation Callum relayed. He said who was all present at the time of the conversation, yet we now hear that conversation and the words were, at best, distorted and changed. If your giving Callum the benefit of the doubt, why not Dexter? We don't have 24/7 coverage so we have to go on what we do have..... and what we do have shows Callum to be the liar, not Dexter. That's my only point. What Callum said the other night was vile and disgusting. If he cant be believed over that conversation, how are we to believe him about the 'blowing kisses'?

Because loads of people have seen him doing it on live feed, you only have to look on DS to find out.

There have been endless conversations (all instigated by Dexter) all covering the same sort of stufff - similar language used. On the clip you're referring to the camera dipped in and out of the conversation.

In all honesty - if Callum misquoted it (which he may well have done) I don't think it's particularly relevant. What is relevant is that Callum feels Dexter has been belittling him and trying to wind him up for weeks. I know not everyone sees this (I do) what is relevant is that Callum feels that way.

I used to enjoy it, watching the eejits make total fools of themselves for their 15 minutes of fame but the past two years just raises my blood pressure. I hate vile mentality of most of the HM's they choose lately, it's come to something when the outright favourite to win, (and by a long margin), is a spoilt, self professed 'princess' who hadn't even washed a dish before she entered the house.

Of course it's relevant if Callum misquoted what Dexter said, because it distorts the truth of what was said.

As for Callum 'feeling' belittled by Dexter, I don't buy it. He's happy to give it out big time, then when he gets it back, he does the poor little me routine.

Yogi19

Soozy, I get your point. Dexter had the same treatment for weeks and Callum joined in it. Dexter believed Daley and Callum were both the nearest things to friends he had in there... and they both nominated him in face to face nominations, do you really believe Dexter was ok about that? It didn't make him feel small that the only ones he came near to trusting had turned on him? It's swings and roundabouts between them both, they are both as bad as each other, however, Callum has taken it to a whole new level with what he said the other night. To make the assumption that it COULD have been said in another conversation doesn't hold up when he said exactly where they were and who was around them at the time. He lied, plain and simple. And the only reason for lying was to turn Gina and Charlie against Dexter, who have shown that they like him. Callum knows the twins dislike dexter and Sam will do and say whatever Callum wants him to, Sophie has always said how she doesn't like him so Callum only really has to work on Gina now and then who will be the victimised one? If he had said those things to anyone else I would have just laughed it off as another Callum/Dexter fiasco, but to the people he said it too, it could only have been done in malice.... IMO.

As I said before, I can't wait for this BB to be over, even the tasks are vile and only meant to hurt!

just catching up but Bethni not sure you noticed that the link to the convo in this thread is not the convo Callum was referring to it was a few weeks ago on the night Jackie left. .

I've seen the waving and kisses stuff in the background.. as I know have others..

again am not sticking up for Callum it's all out of proportion in his head and confused in with so many other convo's that those two have had which are more or less copies of the same ol claptrap from both of them..  just making sure the facts are known  that the LF convo link posted  is not the one he was getting worked up about and in which he is claiming Dexter said that stuff, well to start with at least... not sure anyone knew which bloomin convo any of them were talking about

yeah snobby I know but I have little else so am allowing myself a bit of superiority somewhere. . it's them and Jeremy Kyle people I can sniff and tut at and pretend I am so much better. .for a short while at least..

Mount Olympus *Olly*

both Callum and Dexter have completely lost the plot and it is no longer about BB or the public anymore. . it's about two guys trying to one up each other.. and both behaving badly in the process

I think they have forgotten they are 'playing a game'.. they'll look back once they are out and think WTF was I doing and how did it get so serious and so focused on something so bleedin stoopid

You know how a lot of people suggest that Dexter might be gay, well maybe it's Callum who might be gay, he "doesn't know who he is" he seems confused as to how to behave in the house, he is useless with women, he lied on his VT about the women he slept with, he seems wound up so tight that he looks like he wants to get something off his chest, and now he twists a comment Dexter made to sound like gay sex...Hmmmm!!!.

 Callum uses that word frequently.

Callum

  • Full Name: Callum Knell
  • Age: 28
  • Starsign: Scorpio
  • Status: Single
  • Home: Maidstone
  • Job: Primary school sports coach

ABOUT CALLUM

An engaging and confident ladies’ man, Callum claims that others in the house would get annoyed by his “very good looks” as all the attention will be on him. He likes an argument but doesn’t like very religious or overly camp gay people. He’s cheeky and admits to never saying sorry as he never regrets anything – and calls himself “the full package”.

Callum currently works as a children’s football coach. He really enjoys it because of all the attention and praise he receives from the parents. Callum started his professional life as a lifeguard and did the job for four years whilst at school and university. During this job he claims to have saved nineteen people’s lives – but that’s not it – Callum has saved other people’s lives outside of the job – making it a total of 28 lives saved. He admits that part of the reason he does it is for the praise and attention. He likes to be a hero.

He is very opinionated and says there is nothing better than having a good argument. He believes his ‘trump card’ is his intelligence and says he can often belittle people with his words.

Whilst coaching in America, he ended up sleeping with a mother and daughter and thinks this gives him serious “man points”. Callum isn’t looking for love in the house but says he is definitely looking to ‘crack on’ with someone.

Look it's one of his hobbies

I've thought the same thing too for a while Vids. The way he performed as Cowboy Callum was a bit Brokeback Mountain imo. And maybe all this anger is to do with his internal battle. In which case, poor bloke.

Mr Yogi (who doesn't watch BB) saw Callum for the first time during last night's HL show, and asked if he was gay. When I said he wasn't gay, hubby asked if I was sure. Mind you, his gaydar is rubbish.

Do we know he isn't gay though? And if he isn't an open gay, maybe he's struggling to come to terms with things. He admitted to lying about being a womaniser in his VT.

Im glad im not alone on this...and im not even having a go at Callum here, theres obviously nothing wrong with being gay, but some men find it difficult to come to terms with.

Well let's face it .............it can get a bit tetchy but ...........it's what makes a good BB really isn't it? Last year we all had a common hate figure in Connor and were all more or less singing from the same hymn sheet re the insiders/outsiders.  It was a bit boring really ............a bit of 'harmless' rivalry/ banter shouldn't ever come between us all should it?

I agree, Soozy. In the grand scheme of things, these BB contestants mean nothing to us and the forum friendships will continue, in spite of some heated spats in the defence of our 'chosen' HMs during the show.
