Bradley Wiggins is inspirational. Tour de France and Olympic gold!  New bike sales speak for themselves.

8000 calories a day but thin as a rake!  Training in mountains and at high altitudes to improve lung capacity.  No alcohol etc.  Inspired the little Laura Trott to aspire to glory and win gold  (as did Victoria Pendelton)

All the cyclists are an inspiration, shame Victoria Pendleton bowed out in relatively downbeat circumstance and over harsh decisions.

Maybe I shouldn't address this but having woken up early I will not settle again until I do.  Not everyone has the luxury of having their loved ones close at hand but I'm not about to get involved in any disagreements over what my own personal situation may be.

If it bothers anybody that I joined this site, there is no reason to reply to anything that I post - that is what confuses me.  I think life is too short to waste it in petty disagreements so this will be my last post on the matter.  To everyone who has been friendly to me and been kind enough to allow me to join in on their threads - Thank You - and I intend to continue in the same vein; having fun, being pleasant and not taking life too seriously.  There is enough time for seriousness away from the internet and I will not let the things I have read sadden me for too long.

Incidentally, that is the reason I chose my name for this forum.  Nothing ever got the original Lizzie down for very long and she and her fellow inmates kept my spirits up via the TV on more occasions than I care to remember.

Once again, thank you all and sorry for this post if it offends.

Lizzie, I'm sure if you post as a real person, then everything will be just peachy

Lizzie Birdsworth, played by the lovely Sheila Florance - my favourite character played by my favourite actress.

If you don't know her you have missed out.

If I can't have a little of Lizzie in my posts, I'd be happier not posting, so I'll take some time to consider that.  Anyway, I'm off for breakfast as I know myself and there is little chance of me going back to sleep.

Enjoy your day everyone and make the most of your weekend!!!!

Wonder why that might be?

Hope you;re having fun

I don't know why really. I gave up cynicism for Lent about 40 years ago and try not to dwell on things....which leads me to the next part. Yes, yes I am. thank you

Such innocence for someone with so many husbands, I'm sure that your current one adores you, I mean who can blame him, he must be encaptured by both your inner and external beauty. Meanwhile, I'm so pleased that you've found a true friend down under

Innocence? Thank you for the rest, you are most gracious

The cultural references have eluded me, but I have found you charming, engaging and kind Lizzie. Enjoy your weekend also
