Did she? I don't remember her talking about her relationship at all while she was in the house. Seems to me she's damned if she does and damned if she doesn't. If she'd have said nothing or very little it would have been 'Ooooooooh she's being very sheepish' It seems like people are choosing to believe what they want to believe.

It's sad that a marriage has broken down - she went out with tim for his 60th birthday - it's evident and has been for a long time that they aren't really eligible as a couple but they seem to be handling it as adults.

I guess we all see things differently - she's on loose Women - they all talk about their lives - it's what they do. I don't remember Andrea McLean getting flack for going on This Morning talking about the break yup of her marriage.

I'm quite obviously on my own here but .....................I find it sad that a marriage has broken down. As for Denise being holier than though - I don't see it myself.

I'm no Denise fan....nor apologist LOL, but have to say I do largely agree with you Soozy. They  appear to have remained civil/friendly which can only be a good thing for their kids

'Even at 53, I don’t go without my offers. Why, when I have a husband and children watching at home, would I beg him for sex?'

Whatever you say Denise...

Maybe she meant...when I have a toy boy,  a husband and kids watching...would I rub it in their faces

That's assuming that the announcement today has any truth in it... unlike most of the other things that leave her mouth on the subject of marriage.    I'm of the opinon the 'open marriage' for a long time was probably invented to save face because it's all come out in the open.    I don't believe Tim's blameless either mind, I think they're a pair of old soaks that probably deserve each other.

I'm only going on her constant callling for wine in the house, how she reacted to it .. and his drunken storming of the set on DOI.      That'll do for me.

Here is an interview she gave in November.

It was the shock of that brush with death that made the wild blonde decide it was time to curb her partying.

With her crazy nights on the town behind her, now all she wants to do is stay healthy and concentrate on having a happy marriage.

Wake-up call: Denise Welch has curbed her partying ways after her husband Tim Healy was rushed to hospital recently

The 53-year-old former Coronation Street star admits that she feared the worst when she found out Tim had to undergo life saving surgery to unblock his arteries.

She told the Daily Mirror: 'It's made me grow up - and about bloody time!'

It was during filming of ITV comedy Benidorm that Tim first began to complain of pain in his legs after walking only a few metres so Denise forced him to see a doctor as soon as they returned home to England.

After doing tests they found that he had blocked arteries down both of his legs and told the actor to quit smoking.

Denise says that Tim, who has smoked since age 11, was at real risk because both his parents had died from heart-related trouble.

After having the surgery Tim knew instantly that it had worked and Denise told the newspaper: 'Tim was always going to be a grumpy sod, but the way the op transformed him was just amazing.'

He rested for a few months at home but with his new lease of life he felt like he had been given a second chance and flew out to Benidorm to begin filming.

If they hadn't had removed the blockages in the arteries Denise says her husband could have had his legs removed or worse, died.

'They say growing old is inevitable but growing up is optional and I've finally decided it's time to grow up. I have been irresponsible. My lifestyle has allowed me to be,' added Denise who now has decided it's time to grow up.

Famed for her partying and boozy nights on the town the Loose Woman star has cut back on drinking and wants to be there for her two boys Matthew, 22, and Louis, 10.

She admits that feeling better physically has helped her revitalise her relationship with Tim and the couple have just celebrated their 23 wedding anniversary.

Denise added that she is looking forward to putting all Tim's renewed energy into practice and is feeling happier and healthier than ever.
