I think jt would be too much for a whole wall, though I suppose it might depend on what you put on the other walls.

 

Edit: On second thoughts it might work if you put it on the wall that gets the most/a lot of light....and nothing dark on the other walls.

I love decorating. Well planning it all and then paying someone else to do it.  Our extension gets started next month, and I'm already planning the furniture, colours and soft furnishings.  And we're putting a fire in there, we don't have a fire at the moment so I'm so looking forward to lying in front of it on a snowy night.

Booked two weeks leave in April with the good intention of decorating and doing jobs in the house, then suddenly thought tonight, bugga it: went online, found some reasonably priced flights to my sis's place....half an hour later, all sorted, OOPS In my defence, I rang my 86 yr old aunt who has a bit of the winter blues and asked her if she would like to come with me: if there was a world speed record for spur of the moment decision making she surely would have won it  

Awww! Great decision soops.  I lost my darling 91 year old aunt to dementia on Friday last. Take your aunt and let her have sun to beat the blues. 

Really sorry for your loss Xochi  My aunt is amazing for her age, but, simple fact is, most of her friends and family are gone and as much as she keeps herself active and busy, the long winter days and nights are, well, v long and sometimes lonely. She loves going out there and has done it on her own, but would much prefer going with me so I get an for that and a TUT TUT for not doing what I really should be doing. What the hell!

Whatever you do for your aunt is the bestest thing Soops! Simple fact is, you bought her into your trip, proving it is done with love.  My Aunt Joan had a fantastic life! She lived all over Africa (my uncle was a proper colonial admin man). They finished up his working days in Nepal after which they reluctantly settled down in the UK! Her illness was lengthy but she had the most devoted husband to the end, my wonderful Uncle Gordon.
