I received this email yesterday.

Cheques or Postal Orders should be  made payable to Bank of Scotland PLC and sent to the address in attachment below quoting the above account number.

We will then pass these details on to our Client in order that they may process your agreed payment. Kindly note that any payment made will be shown on your Bank and/or Credit Card Statement as being made to Bank of Scotland PLC

The email has an word document attachment which has a malware virus embedded. If you get such an email delete it and don't open the attachment.

I get a fair amount of these type of email...

I track the culprits down in my surveillance van and "disappear" them.

Of course I could never write that down myself. 

 A public service EC - worth our taxes!  I hate those bleedin' scams
