I don't believe for a sec Michael Jackson is their biological father. The only way to prove it is through DNA. I don't believe their lives will be better with any of the Jacksons, least of all if the grandad has his way.

I think that the law is that the father is "presumed" to be the husband of the mother. Therefore as Jacko was married to Debbie Rowe at the time of their births he is legally recognised as their father even if conceived via a sperm donor.
So no adoption process would have been required.

But he is the only father they've ever known ..........I'm in no doubt that he loved them very dearly and it certainly looked like they loved him.
It may have been a strange relationship to all of us but the Jacksons aren't 'normal'.
There are things other than sperm or legal papers that go to making a father. Love is more important than anything IMO.
I think it's impossible to know what the heck is going on with the press cashing in and the interested parties all spinning their version of events.

When I clicked the link and saw it was the Sun these were some of my thoughts as well. If a statement is released by any lawyers, either side if necessary, then what they say is more believable than "a source said"
