i think years ago men were probably the only bread winner with poor wages poor diet, and most did hard manuel labour without the modern tools and technology, poor housing ect, it must eventually take its toll. I think work is made easier for us now, we take holidays we have bank holidays and better home comforts and generally live in a better healthier environment.
