I have a duck in the freezer and have also ordered a brace of pheasants for Christmas Eve
Are you making Christmas lunch yourself?  I'm terrible i make a lovely dinner, but Christmas i have always have left it to someone else.

I'm too busy picking  50 tonnes of wrapping paper up all day..someone's got to do it

I get more excited than the kids in the morning.

Slightly OT sorry, but I'm thinking about having peeps at my house for boxing day this year. I haven't had anyone here since mam died 9 years ago. I was gonna have them last year but due to unforseen circs (me having to rush down to Sheffield for a week's induction for a new job) things got way behind and I just didn't have the heart for christmas last year.

I've since sold the dining room table though and am panicking that I wouldn't have anything to put the buffet on  and also.............would I be in a fit state after christmas day/night

Well sweetheart if you feel up to it, why not. You don't have to have loads of food and you could even ask people to bring some nibbles along - a sort of tear and share.

But if you don't want to,then don't..no one will mind or think less of you,

Sprout, go for it!!  That's my tradition, we go to my mom's on Christmas morning because she makes the best bacon sandwiches EVER!!, then come back and do my veg because my turkey crown has been cooked on Christmas Eve, eat Christmas dinner, have a nap then go to my sister in laws for Christmas tea.

Boxing day everyone comes to us and TBH my dining table isn't very big because there is only 3 of us, so I got a wallpaper pasting table, cover it over with a Christmassy tablecloth and put it safe against the wall and lay my buffet out on that and touch wood, nothing has happened to it!

I haven't even started present shopping yet.  The person I am most struggling with to buy  pressies for this year is Mr Pink ~ I have no idea what to buy him.  Every year I say that I am going to be more organised for Christmas, but every year I end up rushing round in the last 2 weeks before Christmas and love it!
