When anyone goes on a reality show the REALITY is you are going to be met with criticism, and abuse of sorts even. Not many escape unscathed after leaving the BB house.
So in Nadia's case she knew to expect many different reactions.
You can't expect all of them to be positive. Coolio's behaviour with her was not acceptable, and he soon left.
Davina loves Nadia and put her foot in her mouth, but the Davina often does goof up.
I'm sure she has apologised, but really what Davina said IMO was not nasty,(Foolish perhaps at the strongest)  in fact Davina was lovely to her on the whole.

Nadia and many of the others know all about the crowds and the boo's , however ugly it sounds. That is the risk she took. Many have gone down the same path before her.

In respect of Coolio's behaviour, I can't say I was impressed with it but saw nothing particularly wrong.  I found the fact that Nadia wiped herself over his bed covers, far more offensive and she should've be asked to leave because of that.  Imo, of course.

As i said in my last post i do think you need one to go on a reality show yes.

While what you're saying is true, the fact is that while you're in the house you should be judged by what kind of housemate you are, and not whether you chose to have gender reassignment surgery.



With Nadia, that line is consistently blurred.

I dislike Nadia because she was/is a foul mouthed, vile, irritating, attention seeking person.  Nothing to do with what surgery she has had.

As regards the public and, to some extent, the other housemates - but the presenters should have a bit more sense.    However, she did realise it and apologise, that's a plus.   I'm just disagreeing with the people who dont' think an apology was warranted.

 Indeed, in an ideal BB world you should be judged on what kind of Housemate you are.

As viewers we are influenced by what they  choose to show us.  Sometimes we get to see certain things, and not the whole story as in the case of Nadia and Coolio.
All they focused on was Nadia and her rants and screeches. This was unfair to Nadia, now learning of what did happen.

I only  judged Nadia on what i saw in the house, and not her gender, or whatever she may look like. Its a pity we didn't get to see/hear what was said alltogether.
But being a housemate you don't realise the extent of how in a moment, the public can love you one day, hate you the next. It comes as a shock, as it did with Nadia, and before her Jade, and possibly countless others.

I agree, she really doesnt...I dont know if she's ultra sensitive, or if she's just sensitive about her surgery and always will be because of the negative reaction she's undoubtedly got from some....when there's such a huge issue that's extremely important to her and has shaped most of her life it's bound to impact on her, possibly it always will?  I dont know, either way, judging by her reactions in the house and her extreme unhappiness since coming out, I think she needs a continuance in her therapy...(I dont know what the after care interms of counselling consists of regarding gender reassignment surgery, maybe it just takes each case on it's merits....Sarum would be the best person to help us there )

yes, but she must be pretty hardened to that by now, surely....but it is a shame that some people just wont let up and let others get on with their life...

She seemed comfy enough in it when she was wiping her nether regions on Coolio's quilt, or jiggling her boobs at Preston in the pool

Don't know if the Daily Star story is true but Davina certainly did make a comment on BBBM regarding Nadia having Boyish charms.

I don't see any issues there. The prog and spin offs have a long and rich history of such material. Nadia is just another contestant.

how can likening someone's boyish good looks to a females boyish looks not be nasty, when that very female has struggled with gender identity and then gone thru the long process of making a dramatic and traumatic change from male to the female body they know themselves to have always been?

davina has nothing to apologise for, Nadia knew what she was lettign hersel,f in for, she has spat her dummy because she didnt win, (or come close to the winning line), TBH I think Victor said the other night that she had a good edit in BB5, the way she acted during UBB was a regular occurence in BB5.

I think there is an interesting proposition that the notion of woman born in man's body, or vice versa, is in itself an essentially sexist idea.

if you think it was a foolish thing to say you must have a reason to think that it was foolish...  may I presume you think it is foolish  cos it relates to Nadia being a transsexual?. .  it follows then, does it not, that to take the piss out of that is   perhaps a tad even a lot out of order?  ergo not nice but nasty?

I believe her comments were "boyish good looks"?  I don't want to get drawn into an argument about Nadia, but imo that was not a nasty comment and I still do not see what all the fuss is about.  That's all I am going to say on the subject now because we all have differing opinions and mine is certainly not going to change but I respect your opinion.

Not sure that's a terribly meaningful idea.  Whether Davina was sincere or not I have no idea but people apologise for things they don't feel any need to all the time.  It happens in public (and private) life on a daily basis.
