They were V Good costumes. They must have machinists working on the job, as they wouldnt know who was going to get them till last minute.

Dave is who he is, an ordinary bloke, as yet unjaded by life - unlike some of the more academically gifted in there. He's having a whale of a time and i'd rather see more people like him than people who sit around pouting, picking or preening all day

Just chucking my tuppence worth in, remedial means to 'remedy', to intervene with the basics in order for that person to progress.
Einstein was so severely dyslexic that, had he been at school today, he would have needed 'remedial' support with the written language. I don't think anyone's going to be arrogant enough to call him retarded.
And I'm not saying David is an Einstein by any stretch of the imagination. He's not my favourite by a long shot but he's not a blithering idiot either. He enjoyed a day out with his friend, bloody well good for him.
