He was only 66, I really liked him, he was my favourite in that group.

RIP Davy. He was my favourite and a part of my childhood too. I loved the Monkees, and I remember my Monkees colouring book with great fondness.

Aww RIP. I watched this show after school when I was a kid.

He is probably responsible for my teeth phobia, although i am terrified of the dentist. I couldnt date any guy with horrible teeth, still look now and judge guys on their teeth(dating days are over!) Tell my son too, he wont get a nice girl without him having lovely teeth ! Which he has, by the way !

I seem to remember the show arriving in a flurry of excitement. Saturday teatime? My Dad actually dealt with the situation when David's Dad was injured.

(I don't remember an awful lot from 70 onward) drove down here listening to bits and bobs of the monkees- they really were cool at the time. I'm also old enough to remember his colleague in circus boy!

Haayyyy heyyyy with the monkees, I'm still monkeying around, (and still do THAT dance occasionally)

They were the first manufactured boy band. Even though they were talented in some ways.

Now before then my other old fav show was the "Banana splits".
