Just saw Brown's statement at number 10. Looks like he's going to have to be dragged out kicking and screaming. Very undignified in defeat...
I've just joined this group on facebook..... "Cool it! We're not going to form a new government just to suit 24 hours rolling news"......

He's going to let the two little boys have their squabbles in the bath and wait for one of them to come crying to him!

Have I missed something? What have prawn sandwiches got to do with Conservatives?
Brown had a bag of carrots for Nick Clegg.

Since when did prawns have anything to do with rich, posh, or snobbish people? I'm completely baffled.

It was something known when I was growing up in cheshire and in manchester, then it was brought back by the footballer Roy Keane when he called the corportate football fans the prawn sandwich brigade
I think it's a football reference.....'real' fans mocking the corporate entertained lot having picnics with hampers full of prawn sanwiches while the match is on. I think Meaty has made this a truth he lives by....no offence Meaty, it is kinda daft

How odd. I can't understand why anyone would consider prawns to be remotely posh. Nice to see inverted snobbery is alive and well!Reference:

If you walked into a sarnie shop and asked for a prawn sandwich, people would look at you in disgust
So, who ate all the pies?

If they didn't like prawns, they quite possibly would look at me in disgust, but I don't think it would cross their minds that I was automatically a Conservative supporter. It revolts me when Mr G eats roast lamb, but that's because the smell makes me heave, not because I think it is in indicator of his political beliefs. Sometimes this forum is a bit like the Twilight Zone Reference:

and what if it was a prawn pie.... although I do get meaty's point, Reference:

Don't really see Clegg as a pie, unless it's like the 'posh' one I had this week: duck with a mandarin orange topping yum yum yumReference:

D'ya think he slipped a few prawns in there...or just a Shippam's paste?
Alas! Cameron needed to get most seats to become automatic PM.
He has snatched defeat from victory. Hoffentlich.

I ate a prawn sandwich yesterday as it happens. It was delicious.
Lib Dems have entered talks with Britain's new Prime Minister, David Cameron.
It's good to talk!
I'd say Lib Dems are more quiche than pie...
That's us all fecked then.
But isn't Cleggy boy as posh as Dave?

I agree.........I think we could be stuck with him for a while yet.... but I think it will do us as a country, and Labour and Lib Dems as parties no end of harm.... Mind you, like I've said before, there is a minute part of me that would like to see GB have to sort out the mess.....
i love prawn sarnies...i'm about as far from posh as you can get

Maybe... but he's nicer to look at
FFS,
Of all days my brother heads down to M&S and comes back with some food for the weekend... as I empty the bag I spot a prawn sandwich I was gonna throw him out the flat until I realised its actually his.
