Not wanting to bring your mood or your thread down... but how is your friends hubby?
Funny you should ask... I was thinking of doing an update.

He's doing really well. He's had 10 or 11 operations (lost count now there have been so many) and has had his pelvis restructured. He's been brought out of sedation and is talking to my friend. He went through a spell of hallucinating and had very high temp and heart rate and the docs thought it was swine flu!! But it was an infection in his injuries.

He was told of his injuries yesterday... Lost both legs, two front teeth and his friend was killed in the blast.

He took it OK for now.

Still a long way to go but he's doing so well and I'm so proud of him and my friend. Apparently he's been flirting with the nurses which is funny.

Thanks for asking Ditty Hug Bless you Thumbs Up

Awwwww thanks Ditty and Mr Ditty - I'm sure there are going to be days that he will want to feel like dying as he's got so much to contend with in the future but his wife and children will pull him through as well as friends and family...

I am so proud of my friend - she's been so strong and yet she knows she's got a whole new life to have to learn to live...

I will pass on your thoughts and sentiments - She's been so touched at how far the ripples have gone out to people who she doesn't even know.

I don't know how many people were praying for him 2 weeks ago and even now still.

There is a 20 mile 'Walk for Hero's' on Sept 12th which will hopefully raise a lot of money.

We are petitioning the government to get injured soldiers recognised as well as ones who've sadly been killed. If you do a Google search on the young lad who was killed in the blast he's there in many news stories but do the same search for my friends hubby and NITTO NISH NADDA! It's disgusting! He still put his life on the line and his life has been ripped apart but no one wants to know.

I'm getting very passionate about it so sorry for rambling on!

Tell her its touched us... a family that don't know her... that live in a garrison town in Essex.

Tell her we are hoping life will be as kind as it possibly can be now for them.

We recognise him... and her & the kids
