Suddenly John James can't get enough of Josie. What a bastard he is leading her on. No wonder her head's all over the place. And while I'm here he told Josie he'd never slag her off in the Diary Room. That's a lie, he said he thinks she's physically unattractive. HE IS A USER.

Actually, the more I look at this, the more disgracefully patronising - to her - it is.  If her head really is "all over the place" then, despite JJ being a contributing twat by all accounts, it really is her responsibility.  No one is forcing her to get involved, or try to get involved, with him.

Really, if you put yourself in that situation on national television you have to take on the possibility that you are being scammed.  It's your choice.  Your adult choice.

It's like being back in the dark ages where women were the 'weaker' sex and she is defenceless victim to the dastardly wiles of John.  Pretty condescending IMO.

Noirin did something very similar with Marcus last year so being a weaker sex doesn't really come into it.  I don't understand why you've brought that into it.  It can work both ways.

Josie's said numerous times that she doesn't think "a girl like her" would stand a chance with "a guy like him", she has these reality check moments, but then John James gives out the wrong messages time and again.

After days of Josie telling him she has feelings for him, and then last night she completely spells it out so John James is in no doubt at all how she feels.  His immediate reaction is to make a 4am visit to the Diary Room to tell them what was said, and to explain to them (not Josie) that he sees Josie as a sister and he's not physically attracted to her.  Then as we saw just now on highlights, some hours later we see them carressing eachother's hair intimately in the snug, and then later in bed, snuggling (remember he got 10 out of 10 for it...).  If that is not leading someone on, then I don't know what is.

What I did do was highlight what, in my opinion, is Josie's responsibility and also what I saw as a condescending attitude to her.

Yes I understand your take on it.  What you're saying is Josie's taken the adult decision to put herself in a position where she could potentially end up looking foolish.

However I could be inclined to have less sympathy for Josie if John James didn't maintain the pretense that Josie's feelings are being reciprocated.  I guess I don't understand his motives.

Sorry but I don't buy JJ's "she's just a friend" etc OK he may see her as that, but if you knew that they really fancied you,and I don't for one minute think that JJ hasn't picked up on this etc. Then I would start to watch my behaviour.I wouldn't shower together,as he did with her.I wouldn't share a bed etc.Yes a hug and odd cuddle is ok,but no spooning etc.He is  using her,as he thinks she's still the fav.Now I don't care for Josie that much either, but JJ was the one that stated in his VT etc "I'd do anything to win this show".....

Fair enough....he's been a player from the start....it's all smoke and mirrors with him...he'll play the game to his own advantage...and it's working
Fair enough, indeed KT. But he needs to zip it when he's ranting at others not keeping it real. I don't mind someone taking on a persona or alter-ego to get ahead, but I do mind when that person is barking about others being fake.
