Earlier tonight, Shabby and Dave had a
heart to heart in the Bathroom where they talked of nominations, not trusting other housemates and feeling lonely.
As the pair talked about missing their friends and their homes, they reflected on the people they were currently sharing their House with. 'I'm just tired of these people, Dave' sighed an exasperated Shabby.
'How do you think I feel?' questioned Dave, 'I don't want to hang around with sinners'.
To make his point Dave continued, telling Shabby of how earlier housemates were telling each other their 'most bad sexual experiences'. To Dave, this is completely different to his usual choice of subject matter and he said that sitting in the room at the time was one of the 'biggest tests' for him. 'It's a bigger challenge for me than it is for you' he stated.
The Minister explained to Shabby that he had 'nothing in common' with the housemates, but despite this 'I have to look at the people in here through the eyes of the Lord and see them in the image of God; beautiful'.
The Welshman went on to say how he would like to bring together Christians and non-Christians, adding that 'the people I was brought up with have nothing to do with people like them'. Dave said that this saddened him and 'that's why I wanted to come in here'.
Taken from the official C4 site - this was part of the conversation between Dave and Shabby last night. I got the impression that he was attempting to counter her unhappiness and lift her by getting the point across that it was far tougher for him in the house than it was for her. He was making a massive generalisation though in suggesting that Shabby had more in common with the housemates than he did.
