looks like I missed everybody

Afternoon all   I am shattered but woulD not have missed it for anything . The place was wonderful, the service impeccable , but not stuffy , and the food was out of this world . My fave was a sort of lobster cocktail canape , served in a small egg shell. It was the nicest thing I have ever eaten ....in fact when they asked if we wanted more sandwiches etc. I had two more eggs.  If you want to see my menu ...I had the savoury afternoon tea ....you can see the menu on the F &M website .....I can't seem to copy it for you . We were totally stuffed at the end of it ..... We also went to the ice cream palour earlier ....and I had a scoop of marmalade ice cream , and a scoop of gin and tonic sorbet  And of course we had half a bottle of FortnuMs champers.  All in all it was a wonderful day ....with a few funny moments , which I will recount when I have more energy  Anyway , just touching base.  Catch you all later  

Oh and we actually brought real doggie bags home with us .....and very posh ones the were too

No, no plans to go back ....but we are planning to go to Hampton Court in May ...that's on my friends bucket list ... But I'm happy to go cos it means going * home* We are going to stay overnight in the town/area where I was born  

Oh how lovely Baz - that sounds like a really nice trip...and not too long to wait either!

It was fabulous ScAtts ....and yes it was luxurious ...at least by my standards .....but not snobby ...if you get my drift ....all the staff must be trained to a very high standard .

well scatt i picked all the elements so am happy about that...still have to imagine the dress as it would be made for me...getting a calico fitting for next month so i'm assuming i'll get a better idea then
