It's so unfair bless 'em. It takes me a while to tan, but I usually get there in the end.... well sort of.  It's all relative.

Much bigger than I expected! And we had a nice big window with an unrestricted view of the sea.

Don't worry, there will be photos, lots of photos once I get the energy to sort them out.

The last two days, they put these things made of towels in the cabin. The first one made me scream when I walked in and saw it.  It had a scary face and was hanging in the window. I was a bit weirded out

But the second one looked like a duck I liked the second one

Yes, we had some of those when we went to a hotel on the Costa de la Luz

No. They did the whole formal dinner thing on Christmas Day, but we decided to give it a miss and head for the buffet.

The food was a bit of an issue tbh. Only cos Duds is so fussy though.  We had to eat at weird times to get the things he could eat. We were having our tea at 11:30pm....cos that's when the burgers and chips appeared.  We had a proper routine going by mid week.

Things got a bit trickier towards the end of the week though.....cos they had a few people fall ill (norovirus season and all that), so they started a strict routine of serving you the food in the buffet restaurant. You weren't allowed to do anything for yourself. Duds was distraught Because he is so restricted in what he eats, he wants lots of one thing, rather than bits of everything, but he was too embarrassed to ask for it. We came up with a variety of inventive ways to get around the problem, but it wasn't easy

It freaked us out a bit at first. They were spraying hand sanitiser at us every time we blinked!

And in Morocco, they sprayed the souls of our shoes when we got back on the ship.... nowhere else though. They must have particularly dirty pavements in Morocco.

And YES! He is far far worse than me! Shockingly bad.

Duds was in his element. He found the whole process completely fascinating

The only thing that freaked me out was the thought of being ill and being stuck in my cabin instead of out and about exploring. I would have been SO gutted after waiting for it for so long.

I'd have been the opposite ....I'd have locked myself IN the cabin !!

It's not QUITE as bad as it sounds..... you are supposed to use the hand sanitiser whenever you enter a food area, or get back on the ship anyway, but usually they're just on the wall and you use it as you pass. This time they covered them up and had a poor bloke stood there with a bottle, not letting you pass till he'd sprayed you. He must have been so bored bless him

Sounds good to me !!   It always amazes me how people walk past the sanitizer in hospital

Oh god. Duds has just come down stairs to purposely remind me (and laugh at me) about something I said yesterday at the airport.

Bear in mind it had been a long day! I was very tired!

We were at the airport in Tenerife and had gone through security etc. We had a bit of time before boarding so were on the hunt for some food for lunch. None of the shops we could see had any normal food....just chocolate, but eventually we found a way down to the next floor where the other shops were.

There were two down escalators with a flight of stairs between them. We were half way down the stairs when I suddenly got worried about there not being an up escalator, so in a very panicky voice I said to Duds "hang on, how are we going to get back up again". He just turned around and looked at me like I had lost my mind and said "you're on a flight of stairs".

He's NEVER going to let me forget this one. He's saying he can't wait to tell people
