Hopefully the car won't be too expensive. Apparently it's the crank shaft sensor ..... Duds checked the error code on the check engine light thingy. 

I didn't even know there were error codes on the check engine light thingy, let alone such a thing as a crank shaft sensor.

Of course, I had to be the one to ring the garage (he has a phone phobia too   ). I had to try and pretend I knew all about crank shaft sensors and error codes.

Has Duds had any luck on the job front ?

Nope. 

He recently applied for an apprenticeship that would have paid for him to get a HGV license. (That's something he's been looking into independently recently). He was excited about the prospect but he didn't even get a response.  You didn't even need a single GCSE for it..... so I can only think they thought him over qualified and had a gazillion applications. 

It's starting to seriously stress me out now! He's got other applications on the go, so fingers crossed. 

Awwww It's so hard for them these days ! When I was his age you could leave a job one day and walk into another within a day or so ....

I have to try not to stress too much about it in front of him....cos he's far more stressed about it than I am! I just want to be able to click my fingers and solve all his problems. It's frustrating!

Good, I think. I haven't seen too much of people lately. Everyone is just so busy! My older (nice) sister has got a new job with a really good law firm. She's finally got a job that matches her talent (she was headhunted by a judge who had come across her in court) and now she's doing lots of high flying exciting stuff.  Her boyfriend has also just moved in with her and they now have a new kitten to go with the other cat and two dogs  

Younger sis is still engaged. So far so good She's also still married though....so I won't be rushing out to buy a hat just yet
