Oh of course ....is this for the result ? Inchy is taking car into garage , cos he says he can hear a rattle ...when he reverses ....I can't , but

Oh - that could be an interesting conversation with the mechanic

You're definitely not that

It's been a funny one. Work is a bit mad.

Poppy isn't very well..... she keeps having hypo's. We know the signs so can sort her out pretty quick, but it's a bit worrying.

Awww .....poor Poppy Is there any reason for it ? Change of diet ? Does the vet need to adjust her insulin regime ?

She had an upset tummy a few days ago and I think it's just thrown her off a bit. Hopefully she will settle again.

They've been happening late evening mainly, so once we've given her something sugary she's usually fine again..... but tonight it happened right before her tea. So she's been fed and that sorted her out, but now I'm not sure what to do about her injection. It's a bit risky to give her the usual amount I think.  Gonna do a bit of googling.

Awww Can you not ring the vet ? There is normally an out of hours number , isn't there ?

Baz

I don't trust the vet tbh. Maybe I'm being daft.... but I spent a fortune that time when Pops kept going in for overnight stays and not once did they suggest monitoring her to see if her insulin injections were incorrect. We upped it a tiny bit ourselves in the end and she was much better after that.

There are a few good forums out there (American ones) with much better advice!

I've given her a reduced injection and we'll see how she goes. High blood sugar is a lot less dangerous to her than low, so she should be fine for now.

She's quite easy to read is Pops. High blood sugar = weeing on the floor. Low = wobbly on her legs and getting herself trapped in weird places.

Yeah, I'm thinking about it. It would be much more convenient to move her to the vet in the village where I take Bobs. I might pop in and ask them. I'm assuming her medication and stuff will just transfer over....and we won't have to start over from scratch???
