I used to watch the television adaptations of Dorothy L Sayer's Lord Peter Wimsey's books both the Ian Carmichael and the Edward Petherbridge series. So did my parents - my father had a lot of books (at one time he had something like 3,000 books ). They included almost all the Peter Wimsey books and I've still got them (not the 3,000 books though )

I love those authors too Are you watching the Harlan Cobden series ....Safe ... on the TV at the moment ? I also like James Patterson , Val McDermid, Ann Cleeves and Caroline Graham too ....in fact I tend to like any crime series with a main character that runs through the series

I watched safe when it first came out,  I had been reading his books and knew it would be a good series.  I have some of James Patterson. The shop “Works” has 3 books for £5, but can’t go out and don’t know if Santa is calling this year!  I enjoy a good crime series although for a change (of sorts) I like Lee Child.

Now my washing is out and blowing nicely in the breeze and sunshine. Quite cold out there though...

Afternoon Darnies It was sunny but cold this morning , but it’s clouded over and looking like rain now ....and I think stormy weather is in the way I had another restless night ....got to sleep ok , but I keep having disturbing dreams ....I haven’t done much today ....just some washing , a bit of cleaning , and anti bac'd my shopping delivery I had a couple of lamb steaks and chips for lunch , and now I’m chilling watching Great Pottery Throwdown I hope everyone else is having a good Friday

Afternoon Darnies Grey and cold here, but not as wet and windy as forecast . I didn’t sleep well last night , and I am feeling very, very  down today....just wanted to crawl back under the covers. But instead I changed the sheets, washed , ironed , cleaned the kitchen and made myself some lunch  ....which is the total extent of my exertions for the day
