Oh Ducky, how awful - how scary - let's hope it's all receding as you say

oh noooooooo

The police didn't even tell my sister's children where they should go Baz! Just knocked on the door and told them they had 30 mins to leave. There were buses to take people up to the sports arena, but they weren't given this information.  Luckily they aren't too far away from my mum's house and were able to walk there.

My sister was work ...and still is, cos the roads are shut. So she's sleeping at work tonight. She works in a care home, so she may even have a bed if she's lucky

The FE college next to us evacuated the building this morning, and spent the day sandbagging the place.

We did not do this.

I think we may regret it

Oh heck .... Is it flooded ? no school then

Just this second checked the school website, we're closed tomorrow due to flood damage.

Yeah, me too We won't know how bad it is at my sisters till tomorrow, but she was in the worst possible area so we're expecting it to be pretty bad.

We'll all rally round

The receptionist at school got flooded. She's young and she's only just bought her first house and she was so proud of it! I feel very very sorry for her.

Yeah, from other people's descriptions it sounds like have recovered fairly quickly! I only had two days of really debilitating dizziness, but now its settled to just an annoying level.

Bedtime has become a bit of a problem though..... sleeping on my right side causes the severe spinning to come back, but sleeping on my left leaves me with a really painful ear!!  My pillows must be too hard

Half way through the night I decided to prop myself up a bit, that helped, so I shall do that again tonight
