Lol!!! Well, we've walked together a couple of times now and the dogs love each other, so we don't have that total stranger panic.

Have you ever met a date that you instantly disliked?

Well, out of the four times I tried it.....one was an instant dislike. Luckily he was also a bit odd (bear with me...that will make sense soon). Within a few minutes he was telling me all about the nervous breakdown he had 6 months earlier. Having a breakdown isn't odd, that's ok...but telling a perfect stranger about it in the first few mins of a first date put him in that category. His oddness increased when we went for a walk and he happened upon his car accidentally and he decided to randomly (but thankfully) abandon the date after only an hour.

He then text me to say he thought we lived too far apart. I was very relieved because at least I didn't have to be the one to do the awkward "I don't want to see you again" thing.

Unfortunately the very next day he sent me a message saying he had made a mistake and blown the distance thing out of proportion and said he would love to see me again. So I had to do the awkward thing anyway

I was at the point of being convinced and she was all "oh great...the only the kids that go are, blah blah blah, but only blah ever talks to me".

Speaking of dating related things....

About 7 years ago, when I was in the local pub, I got chatted up by this bloke. He seemed nice, walked me home...tried to convince me to let him come in I said no...he went home. End of story.

A year later at a parent's evening, in he walks....with his wife.

Today, I had to exclude his son (who is now in Y12) for 5 days, so had to meet with him for half an hour to talk about the situation.  It's always extremely weird, cos we just pretend we have never met. We're both very good at it.

OMG ducky awks

I've given up now cos I get too stressed out trying to juggle it with work. I can't cope with two stressful things at the same time.

I have a treadmill at home...so I get by, but I would love to go back to the gym. I need to get over it and remember the kids will be way more embarrassed than me.

You could actually have a lot of fun with that

That's very true

I think so yes and unusually, it doesn't start until 11am, so we get a bit of a lie-in!

Oh well that's always a plus  Is it a charity one ?!
